Spinorial: Damn it, Sega! You finally decide to put something on sale, and you don't even discount its DLC! Or it's predecessor! Or anything!!!
But... isn't the whole strategy behind creating DLC in the first place so that you can lower the price of the base product to entice people to buy it but keep the DLC priced higher and more than it's worth so that people have to pay that price if they want it bad enough? :)

That's one way, but given the amount of fluff DLC on CoH2, they should be giving people incentives to buy it. You put a 75-off on that, and people will be buying entire packs, where they only really want 1-2 pieces. Easy money.

But I care nothing, neither for CoH 2, nor for its DLC. What irks me is that Relic have been fixing up the multiplayer and some bugs on some older games - Dawn of War, CoH1 - and yet, they never make the front page. Worse, when there's a perfect reason to offer them at discount prices and ship some copies - there's no discount! It used to be a given that if Game X 2 is on sale, so is X 1. Except for Sega, I guess. And all that effort that's being put into them - a financial waste.

There's still time, I guess...
New flash and community sales and... meh.

All of the flash sales are over $10... :/
Far Cry Franchise Pack is $14.79 and Grand Theft Auto Complete Package is $9.99.
Terraria is $1.99 again.
Maia and Space Engineers look interesting, but I'm not paying that much to play an alpha.

they are throwing up too many alpha titles
Grabbed Final Fantasy XIV.
Also don't understand CS:GO on main page with -50%, I'm sure it was -75% few times in the past. Strange sale this year.
So far the score is GoG ~20 : Steam 0

So far Steam really had nothing to offer to me, the games I want are either still too expensive OR, since I am german, I can only get the censored version and I will NEVER pay money for something like that. (Well, I would have bought Wolfenstein TNO, since this is the best shooter I have seen in a long time and I would have given a crap about removed symbols. Unfortunately they also made a new synchro for the german version, removed all "arians" and "Nazis" from spoken text and made it impossible to switch to another language. And the german synchro plain sucks.)

Even the Bioshock: Infinite season pass is still 9.99 Euros and in my opinion that is still too expensive, given how long this is out and that there is a sale going on. In the end I did not even care to check what this Red vs. Blue thing is. On Gog on the other hand I kinda went on a rampage, at least by my standards, and bought tons of stuff. And quite a lot of it was a "What the hell, I might like it and for THIS price..." kind of buy. And that is the whole purpose of a sale, isn't it? To lure people into buying things they did not even know they want or need or, in the best case, they did not even know?

So I guess GOG does a lot of things right, while Valve/Steam do everything wrong they can, at least in my book.

For me: GOG 9 + 3 freebies : Steam 0 (I have 13 euro Steam credit from selling cards and I still haven't bought anything).

Oh yes, the freebies! I dit not even count them into my list... so add 4 games more.

And those cards... I have quite a lot of them and I could not care less. I don't craft badges and I am too lazy to sell them. I wonder if it is possible to just scrap those things, since they are only clogging my inventory anyway. :D

No money shall be made from these cards and no personal gain, since, lo!, they are evil! :D

Far Cry Franchise, Terraria and Grand Theft Auto Complete are the lowest prices they've been...maybe if they gave them away people would be happy? $10 for all 4 GTA games and $15 for the 4 Far Cry seems pretty good to me.
Arrr.. The Walking Dead Season 2 and Coma - Mortuary Episode 1 added this morning to my long, long list of Steam Summer Sales purchases.. Third time's a charm, I will stick to get only Dishonored DLC's now.. Eventually.. >_<

Edit : And.. I got the dishonored GOTY, the DLC's were costing more individually.. Now, to not buy more.. :/
