Impaler26: Found another nice game:

RC Cars - 1.24€

Funny Racer, worth a look if you like Re-Volt.
Damn you, this is like my childhood stuff.. Had to buy it! >_<
Terraria is $2 today. Worth it, I wonder...
Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame -.-

Age of Mythology for €16,79? Yeah, sure...25% off on some Early Access title I've never heard of before? And while we're talking about Early Access... 5 Early Access games on a featured sale! wtf is this shit? The Swapper? Wasn't this a deal already? Yeah, sure, deals will repeat... But this is day 3!

I think after being in the "Just wait a bit, we're still at the beginning of the sale" camp for years, I have to switch sides... This sale officially sucks! I think I won't do a single unplanned purchase this time. Thanks God I'm only waiting for two titles (Borderlands 2 GotY and Metro Last Light - both will get their daily feature) and thanks God they're already discounted to a reasonable price. If I have enough of checking Steam, just to find overpriced Microsoft "HD Editions", Indies, Early Accesses or Co-op zombie something, I'll just buy these 2 games and won't look at Steam again until the sale is over.

Started on Day 2 on the GOG sale I think. Besides, going by previous sales I think it's fair to say the bulk of community/flash sales will be repeating in the daily deals eventually.
I just grabbed Skyrim - Legendary Edition for 10.19€. :)

With that the Steam Summer Sale is as good as over for me unless i sell a few more cards... :D

I know, I know... I'm still wondering what the guys and girls at GOG office thought when they decided to "force feed" us with almost all of the available flash deals "at once". This, combined with the "all bundles at once before Steam starts the sale" tactic, ended the GOG summer sale for me. There's nothing coming that I haven't seen already, so no need to check the new deals (completely apart from the fact that I've spent enough already).

Sure, they always do. It's just that it is a dissapointing sale for me so far. Previous sales were just "Okay, but not my cup of tea" at this stage. But this one... I haven't had a single "What is this? Let's just buy it and have a look"-moment so far. And neither Early Access games, nor Magicka, Tomb Raider, Assassin's Creed, Deus Ex, GTA IV, Batman, Skyrim and all the other "regulars" will give me such a moment.

I think I've just reached a state where I've seen too many Steam sales...

That's where I'm at mostly. I don't think the current sale is a particularly bad one, there's some really great deals to pick up. Thing is, I've mostly already got those games from other deals. Currently we only picked up Spore Complete and Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends Complete.

Things like Dragon Age Ultimate for 5 euro or XCOM complete pack for 9.89< State of Decay etc are great prices, if I didn't have them already :)

Most of my wishlist is Early Access games or Preorders at this point. Or games that for some reason or other barely ever go on a proper sale. Curious to see if Anno 1404 will go 75% now it's available again.
The Adventure Card market is crashing! They go for around 30 cents! Cash out! Sell your non-investments before they get any cheaper!
But really, the prices are falling and soon we cannot exploit them for fun and profit.

Admittedly there were some good deals to be had among all the less than 50% stuff, let alone the games at 25%, god forbid I hand in my cheapskate card and pay for those.
Am glad that I checked back in time to pick up the Bioshock Triple Pack for just over a ten dollar bill and some nice... I guess indieish games to be had? Whatever Retro/Grade and Super House of Dead Ninjas are. Reverse shooter and something with ninjas respectively.
Summer cards are already out of profit range.

What else are you going to do with them other then sell?

If I make loads of optimistic assumptions I estimate the chances of you winning are roughly 0.0000075%.

Em... good luck I guess.

That's assuming ~80 million people are using Steam atm. While I agree the chances are minimal, that's a LOT of people :)

Besides, I wouldn't want to actually end up winning and then getting some crappy games because I forgot to update my wishlist. It's worth a couple of seconds of my time. I look at my wishlist now and then anyway to check the discounts

I kind of wonder if that mechanic had the effect that Steam was after. I suppose lots of people have emptied their wishlists and then just put up the three most expensive games they like, to make sure that they don't get some cheap 5$ prize in the unlikely case of winning. I'm not so sure if that's what Steam intended.

On the other hand, Steam can easily take a peek of a user's wishlist, see three extremely expensive games, and simply decide "Nah, let's draw another winner instead" ...

It's the Top 3 in your wishlist apparently so there's no need to empty the list, just move the games you want to the top of it :)

Also, with the money Steam makes from this sale, heck from the market alone, I doubt they care which 3 games 30 people a day win
