I'm only considering two very non-essential things on my wishlist with a decent discount but I'll wait till closer to the end of the sale.

Of course I'll use the 8 hour "flash" sales to keep checking and see if anything interesting pops out between those and the "dailies" which seem to last 48 hours.

I would not judge a sale by its first day.
Anyone else getting payment transaction errors on Steam right now...not letting payments go through?

steam did change their payment processor a while back. but it's probably just intermittent.

how long ago did they change it? And what did they change about it?
Bought 2 games today:

Tiny Troopers - 0.99€
Gigantic Army - 2.99€

I'll probably wait till i have my "new" gaming PC ready and buy Skyrim and Dragon Age in the Winter Sale. :D

I only bought and sold cards.
Bought South Park. Been looking forward to playing that.

I would have bought Magicite at 50% off, but the community did what they always do and voted against what I wanted. Not cool Steam users. Not cool.

Got One Finger Death Punch just from selling cards.

It's addicting.

One Finger Death Punch is actually a very good game. Highly recommended. It is an action game striped down to its purest form. And for people like me - it is not a rhythm game at all.
Just wanted to say to the blues:

The GOG Summer Sale took the steam off the Steam Summer Sale for me.

Now that GOG stocks indie games, I'm generally more likely to buy them here if they're available.

Hey, don't look at me! :D
I voted for Magicite etc., would have bought it too.
I'm mostly waiting to see if Skyrim goes on a daily deal/flash sale. Otherwise I haven't seen many things that interest me yet.

If you care about DRM-Free Steam shouldn't have been the place to buy your Indie games for the last few years already. Places like Humble and others generally sell you a DRM-free copy on top of a Steam key, so that's generally a better deal.
