AttObl: Yeah, Enemy Within requires Enemy Unknown.
It's worth it, but when you get tired of Enemy Within, there's Long War.

yyahoo: I believe on the PC EW is an expansion to EU, so EU is required. On the consoles, EW is a standalone title.

GabiMoro: Thank you both for your answer, I'll think about it.
XCOM EU+EW +DLC has a base price of 30 euro. I might grab it at 75% discount (7,5 euro). Quite expensive but I have 12 euro in my Steam Wallet, from selling trading cards.
It's an awesome game. EW adds a lot of stuff that forces you to make difficult choices. It influences you to finish fights more quickly in order to garner valuable resources. EU doesn't have that, but as a huge TBS fan, I really enjoy the safe strategic style that is rewarded more in the base game, carefully choosing your advances so that you do not lose any of your experienced troops.
The Steam website is a mess right now.
I don't mind the layout for the Steam website, but the traffic is kinda pissing me off.

On another note, there's the whole Summer Adventure thing, which I don't care. It's kinda like some propaganda to spend stuff on games and help your fellow teammates to do the same.
Valve is too late to the party. Bought a lot on GOG already and have no internet for two weeks or so from tomorrow... :P

Impaler26: Dragon Age: Origins

Sachys: one of the few bits i'll definately want to grab.

other than that, i think for me it will be tthe weirder, cheaper stuff that may or may not be good, but never ends up in bundles
I just noticed Dragon Age: Origins on sale on GMG for €2.09.
Thought that might be interesting for you guys...

Quiet start for a Steam Summer Sale event, indeed.

...
Yeah, they're resting on their laurels at this point. Still, some games are in my sights, and I'll just wait for good prices on those.
Oh a Steam Sale. Also known as a vote-for-cards-then-sell-the-things sale. I think I made about five bucks last time. Honestly, I just feel very blah about this one. Partly I'm still a bit burned over Crusader Kings II and Civ V going insane on the DLC (even after buying the "Gold Complete Everything Editions"), partly I'm still irritated that Steam won't let me play games unless they are patched to the new current edition 98.36.0551b (some of us still have monthly bandwidth caps, ya know), and partly I'm just frustrated with how hard to navigate the website is even with the Enhanced Steam add-on (just too much stuff to page through, at least the add-on highlights what you actually own). Just, blah.

Still, I hope everyone else finds what they are looking for and has a good time playing their new games!

€2.09 for me too, but without the expansion.

As for the Steam sale, nothing for me at the moment.
Riptide is pretty nice, but I don't have anybody to play it co-op with so no point in buying it.

Yeah, since it doesn't include the expansion and DLC it's not really a great deal even with the lower price. IIRC most of the DAO DLC you can only get either by buying the Ultimate Edition or buying them one-by-one on the Bioware site, priced between $5-15 each. I'd instead wait for the UE to again drop down to ~ €4-5.

Heh, incidentally, for me DAO isn't discounted at all on GMG -- priced at its "regular" £14.99 (95% of games there are priced in $ for me, so this must be some EA-specific deal).

Steam sales....

My Steam wishlist is quite short : Rome II TW and its dlcs, Lords of the black sun,, Starpoint Gemini 2. The later 2 are not released yet and I don't buy unfinished games.

On the other hand, I cleared my GOG wishlist in the last days, meaning I somehow overspent.

So unless the TW game gets deeply discounted during the sale, I'll pass on that one
Complete edition of Xcom for 10e.

Yus.
Bought Breath of Death VII and Cthulhu Saves the World bundle for €0.59
I already owned Cthulhu Saves the World but I have been thinking of getting Breadth of Death VII for a while now.

Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines is the only other thing I saw that interested me. The price is nice but the $4.99 = €4.99 really bugs me even if the difference isn't huge. I will probably get it though.
I'm a sucker for shitty games so i bought a few cheap'n'cheesy ones:

Defy Gravity - 0.19€
ORB - 0.74€
Mashed - 0.74€
Original War (Gift) - 0.89€
Hard Truck Apocalypse: Arcade / Ex Machina: Arcade - 0.99€
Deathtrap Dungeon - 1.49€

Yeah, that's trading card money well spent! :D
