It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I just wish they would fix their browser so that it would turn pages at normal Internet Explorer speed and not 24k dial up speed.

It used to be worse, when it actually used IE.

Still, bizarre that they messed up a webkit based implementation.
Steam would be a whole lot better if Valve stopped (a) IP blocking access to legally purchased games and (b) stopped lying about IP blocking access to legally purchased games.

It'd also be a whole more enjoyable to use as a program if Valve didn't keep adding half-assed implementations of new fluff and concentrated on fixing the current broken fluff. I've never seen any other program crash so much. I tend to have to delete 50 megs worth of mdump files every week which are generated by Steam crashes.

I also fail to see why Valve even set Steam generate those dumps as they sure don't ask for them or even look at them when you contact support to report bugs (they don't even have a bug report category).
Is is this time of the month again?

A bit of an offset from the full moon, but pretty good correlation still. :)

Anyway, steam is cool and steampunk even cooler.

Actually, I think Steam is pretty hot (;-P), but Steampunk is pretty darn cool!

bevinator: Cabbage, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, and cauliflower are all the same species.

SirPrimalform: And mustard, radishes, horse radish, wasabi, kale, turnips, swedes, rape and probably others.

EDIT: Others.
Those are all similar and in many cases are in the same genus, but they aren't the same species, except kale. Kale is the only one that's awesome bro-tier B. oleracea.

It's always that time of the month!
Steam client has awesome features. But they should learn a thing or two from EA. Origin is much more stable, runs faster, and with every version is getting better and better.

The Steam client is pretty much the same thing build ten years ago with new features slapped on. Screw HL3, I want a new client.
Steam and any other client based service sucks for anyone who doesn't touch games that can't be transferred from one computer to another without asking permission from the publishers and wishes to keep them all installed and runnable at all times.

While you can find cracks for all of those games, some of them don't bypass the client, and some don't even hack the client inside the game's installation folder. Instead they just crack the client provided that you happen to have a compatible version of it at the time and even if the crack comes with a full client you end up with multiple versions of it because this old game needs this version and that new game needs another. It's becomes difficult to be able to keep many games installed if they share the same third party utility, but require different cracks for it.

If I can finish a game it has earned a permanent residence in my computer so that I can return to it anytime I wish even if only to check that the new drivers work with it. To ensure that, I don't play games that I haven't verified to work after transferring them from my notebook to my workstation. I don't treat games as disposables so if I am not sure to have one working as long as I have compatible hardware and a suitable power source available, I am simply not interested in playing it at all.

How can you be so mean, it is Gabe's birthday today.

Happy birthday Gabe!
I'm suffering from Deja Moo

I think I've heard all this Bullshit before

Steam, love it or hate it. You can't deny that it has been one of the major contributing factors to keeping PC gaming alive today.
Bah, ripping on Steam is so mainstream. The only digital distribution service thingy I voice dislike over is Xbox Live.

But seriously, Xbox Live is ass. The prices are slightly less pleasant than a rectal exam from the man with the World's Fattest Fingers.
