The correct answer is: yes, because the only legitimate version of the game uses steamworks ;)

The Steam version is the only version. Boxed copies use Steamworks as well.

thanks all,

*me really wishes people would stop putting steamworks on pysical copies, the pirates still crack it,

*waits for AC:B to turn up with steamworks... aswell as all the other drm* /jk
