Kind of ironic considering they still sell Postal 1. I'd really hope GoG doesn't take the same path.
Do we really need yet another thread on this game?

Gameplay wise, it looks very boring anyway.

To be honest, I doubt that the game will ever see the light of day. Seems more like a huge marketing stunt to me. Claim that you will develop one of the most disgusting video games ever and make yourself a name in the industry.

Assuming it is at least functional, I'd like to see the game come to GOG just as a matter of free speech.

It's a little conflicting with GOG's "boutique" approach but I can see your point.
Feels good to be done with Steam.
To be expected from a US-based company.

Are you talking about steam or the developers ? Serious question (but either way I find your statement a bit harsh, one way harsher than the other ;-)
I wonder how many of the people complaining (in the massive Steam thread) are the same people who complain Steam is being filled with ' shovelware' lately.

Based on this? You realize GOG rejects games regularly right? :)

This is going to to sound like a derail but trust me, it's going somewhere. :D

When the 2nd Matrix movie came out it was banned in Brazil because, as was the official line, "it showed computers taking over the planet..."
Entertainment Weekly did a little bit on it saying the real reason it was banned in Brazil was because it sucked. :P

I'm wondering if this might kind of be the case here. Sure I'd be interested in it, but a lot of what I'm hearing is that aside from the subject matter and gore, it might just flat out not be a very good game.

If steam actually played the game and it sucked, fine.

But A: It's not out yet, and B: Steam releases garbage daily.

I didn't see any other topics on the front page.

In this case, Steam.
It's not meant as harsh, but the US can be pretty litigious.
If the game is good, I want it here, If it's not good, I don't want to see it here. Leaving aside the matter of who's judging as such, my stance is as simple as that.

Also, what amok said.

Hard to leave that aside when it's the whole point isn't it? :)

I wouldn't touch a "game" like Surgeon Simulator with a 10-foot pole, yet apparently tons of people thought it was worth buying.

I dunno, I like the idea of GOG also carrying historically important games, even if bad... Daikatana.
