Hello, any American (or anyone who pays in USD) who would be willing to gift me a preorder copy of Portal 2 in exchange of paypal or alternatively GOG games :)
I've dealt with bansama, weclock, and michaelleung before, I cannot reach any of them currently though, so now I'm writing here.

First of all, that guy is called michaelleung, not michaeljung
Second of all, I doubt he can help out
Third of all, what would be the U.S. price? And is there any cheaper price available? Because for Europe even Amazon is so expensive. :-(

Thing is, the game is 34.19 euro over here (Romania) and the USD price is 44.99 which is around 31 euro so you're not saving all that much.

Romania is EU Tier 2 though. He's probably in EU Tier 1 where the price is 44.99 euros.

I'd help out again, but I'm low on funds right now, sorry.
It's also due out earlier in the US than the EU (four days earlier), he may just want to play it sooner, though reading Steam's rules on gifting it appears it won't unlock any sooner even if it is gifted from the US than it will if he buys it from the EU end.

But at least for our Germans it isn't censored if getting it from U.S.

Did not know that, I'd have thought that if there was a specific release for the region the receiver is in they would get that by default in the same way the release dates default to the local region's release dates. That's handy to know...
I am indeed in EU tier 1 so the price is 45€ and compared to 45 US$ that's a lot saved (~20 US$)
If you see this Michael, sorry for mistyping your name. (You still owe me money though!)
If you are still interested in helping bansama I can always pay you over paypal with enough extra to cover transfer expenses so that it would be possible for you to buy it with paypal
How do i check the EU price for Poland? All i see is some save 10% thing, showing the base price at 37'99 Euro. Is that it?
Crap, that's the equivalent of 54 bucks in local currency.

As the rules state, games unlock on the local release date. That's why I had so much trouble with Mafia 2.

Let's see if someone else can help first just in case. As I really can't afford it going onto my credit card right now.

Wodmarach I'd definitely be willing to deal with you too, are you interested?
Basically I am looking for someone who can buy Portal 2 on steam and gift it to me for a price close to the us price of $45 , as the current EU tier one price is $65.

I can help you out if you're happy with the £26.99 price tag, though I've not gifted games through steam before, so I don't know if I get a code or if I need to know your steam ID. Drop me an email <removed>, telling me what to do.
