I know this question probably belongs on the steam forums, but:

1. I do not trust it since the hack.
2. When I did use it, I found it unresponsive.
3. And, I think some deserving member on GOG needs a few more rep points!

Anyway, I was wondering if I could somehow get my Steam installation onto a 2GB SD card. And before you say 'it can't be done', all I want to have is the Garry's Mod game. I can remove some stuff if neccisary.

I had steam on usb stick so it could be possible but I dont know if 2 gb is enough for Steam and garrys Mod, witha all the updates and stuff game might be bigger.

Yeah - I just want something for my laptop that doesn't stick out the side like a USB stick, nor the cable and HD for an external HD, (I move around a lot). So I thought a SD card would be best, and I have a spare 2 gig one. After xmas I might have a look to see if there are any cheaper bigger ones.

Why not get a flash drive with 8GB?

I was talking about a USB flash drive, 8GB ones can be had for dirt cheap these days.

Yeah, just it would stick out the side of my laptop, and as I said, I move around alot, so I would prefer something internal...

Meh, I will have to wait till after xmas for some cheap deals.

I got a 2GB one for my PSP long ago and regret it now as it's nowhere near enough space for all the games I get.

Yeah - I only got the 2 gig one for my pocket pc, but now it doesn't work, so I wanted to re-use it.

But as you said, I will be better off getting a 4-8 gig one.

If you do get whatever size you feel is best. 4GB should be fine for your stated needs, but if you want to add other Steam stuff or whatever 8GB could be worth looking into, depending on pricing.

Ok... so, probably I will have at most 3 games on it if it is a bigger that 4gb one - so what would be the best size for that?
