It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

zeroxxx: You guys who say Offline mode expires after xxxxx days need to check the fact and stop spouting nonsense.

There's a fine damn reason I dislike this forum's biased hate towards Steam.

Be an educated folks don't be ignorant ones.

DyNaer: You are dishonest here :

i followed your link , IF you were really honest you should have quoted this :

"Many of the older games on Steam were using an older authentication system which has many known issues with Offline Mode and is incredibly difficult to maintain - it was written for a time when there were dozens of games on Steam, not thousands. We are in the process of upgrading every game in the Steam catalog to a newer authentication system (and fixing bugs that result from the conversion), but this is a slow and time-consuming process. Some day soon, once this work is completed, we will eliminate the old authentication system (represented by the ClientRegistry.blob file) and Offline Mode should immediately become much more robust. "

Now, since I AM honest ; witth the date of this post, probably many of those have been patched , but with the numbers of games on Steam , probably not all.
i think they introduced to a new system to handle the content better now

Do you want every single thing to be spoon fed? Are you kid or teen? Can't YOU read?

What does it have anything to do with my honesty?

Very stupid statement.

If you're looking for a fight, PM me.

you linked a post , which have partial informations, that's why i said that (sure everyone could read the rest of the thread you linked). But i woiuld find better to have said ALL facts first .... just simple like that & linked those with the source.

don't get me wrong , i'm not a steam hater as some users here.

i don't want to fight with you , neither with anyone there, not my taste.

oh yeah thanks for the 'very stupid'' , i appreciate.......

Now , i leave the thread ....

Hello!

THOSE REGISTRYBLOBS IS OUTDATED ALREADY. STEAM CAN DO AND RUN FINE WITHOUT IT! DID YOU TAKE THAT OLD POST FOR GRANTED? FFS! TRY FIRST BEFORE SPOUTING NONSENSE AND CALLING ME DISHONEST!

PrincessMilissa: Steam can be pain in the ass. But I love to just open one program to find and play my games in one location instead of searching for them
Create a game folder on your dektop and put in all shortcuts of your games. Problem solved without an additional program and you can even choose if you like to see them as symbols or as a list. ;)

Indeed.

Such a simple solution (especially compared to installing a monolithic always-want-to-be-connected "client").

The price peeps are willing to pay these days for minor convenience is almost staggering.

liquidsnakehpks: then do share those experiences and get over it , instead of holding it in and suffering . Make thread mention how you got burned by steam maybe then people will understand
I did as I recall (although I couldn't find it again with GoG's search engine). Perhaps more annoying is how successful steam is as a platform, with so many other places selling steam keys...
