That's around 3 Euros more than the UK version. Which is about 2 Euros more than the US version. Ouch!

I'm not entirely sure, but it appears to be the same way with their fallouts....

Although really you've got to blame Interplay for the pricing. It's not surprising that they're milking the games for all they're worth given that they're a couple of small steps away from going under.

Well that makes it a more difficult decision... pay more to support a company, or pay less and support a site... I know the solution. Buy both.... wait.....

No steam is a good thing. They are DRM on every game!

Interplay is nothing more than a trading name these days. The only reason left worth supporting them is to ensure their IP aren't all sold off and GOG's right to sell them affected accordingly.

Yeah DRM usually leads to pirating... look at spore and probably Farcry2 or even Trackmania. Limited Installs (why buy a game you can only install so many time without strings attached when you can pirate it and install/remove it as many times as one pleases), DRM that can actually harm your computer (I'm looking at you, Starforce!), or DRM that won't go away after you uninstall the game (I'm looking at you, Securom)! This rediculous DRM prevented me from actually buying the games myself!
Occasionally they actually have a decent deal or two, they're not completely evil. On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being most evil possible), they're probably about a 5.5 (they'd steal candy from a baby, but not more than 10 babies in any given week)...

With all this sticking up for steam I've been doing the past few weeks, I probably sound like I am a steam fanboy. I'm not though, people here just make steam out to be some huge evil entity and gog absolute perfection .

Ding, ding, ding! Steam has a built in community to keep their customers close. I have bought games from Steam without shopping around. GOG has a built in community to keep their customers close. I have bought games from GOG without shopping around.

I'm sure part of the higher price has to do with a different internal structure than GOG's. Steam must take in a certain percentage higher than what GOG does, so the companies responsible for the games probably marked them up a bit to get the same return as they do from sales here.

That's just lying. It's happened in a few cases, but not "most" by any means. Ugh, I liked GOG before all of this senseless Steam bashing.
