Wellp...Steam sales drove me to spend a lot more of the money I got from Christmas than I intended to. The rush of actually having money and the sales being so good. >.>

How are you guys managing?

orcishgamer: They are obtuse, the controller functionality is annoying and I haven't found a way to re-map, the bosses in some have ridiculous difficulty curves...

... but they're still pretty charming. They're games you deeply want to like and that goes a long way towards hitting the "fun" threshold.
Weird, wasn't alerted to this reply but thanks anyways. I missed the flash deal but I think I'll give one of them a shot regardless (at the last day of sales, incase they show up again.) Been watching some videos and they look pretty interesting.

Pretty well actually, one of the few benefits of being poor. :p

Indeed. I usually am poor, which is why this was so much worse for me. >.>

Chivalry looks fun, but War of the Roses offer more customization and realistic settings. But again, Chivalry have bigger fanbase. For multiplayer based video game, the number of fanbase arguably one of the most important aspect.

This is an amazing comparison video. Both games are good in different things. Both are worth the money I think.

Picked up Fable: Lost Chapters for £1.74 or so in the daily deal. Got an itch to play an RPG and I've never played a Fable game so here's hoping it scratches it.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution is 75% off right now.

However, GOG has Deus Ex and Deux Ex 2. So GOG may get Human Revolution in the future, or maybe not. Wonder if I should hold off on buying Human Revolution from Steam and wait for GOG to sell it.

I don't think GOG carries any fixed Steamworks games at the moment. Such things exist so there may be obstacles to bringing those to the service.

Only one game that I can think of, Alan Wake. But even so, that's thanks to Remedy and their appreciation of their fans, I don't think Square-Enix would do the same for DE:HR.
Tempted by the flash sale on From Dust, but I don't know much about UPlay DRM. Is it just a Steam-style online community/achievement system, or is it more intrusive than that?
