GoJays2025: New flash deals... just remember The Terran War Pack is on sale in addition to the X-Superbox.
Basically the X-Superbox guys are super cool and retroactively added their new games to their bundle, including adding them to the Steam libraries of those who'd already bought the X-Superbox in the past.

So you don't need the Terran War Pack if you already have X-Superbox, it should be included.

Goatbrush: So the Carpe Fulgar games are on flash sale, has anyone played them? I've played Recettear and enjoyed it, but I know nothing of the other two other than what's on metacritic and the reviews seem to be pretty mixed so I'm torn.
They are obtuse, the controller functionality is annoying and I haven't found a way to re-map, the bosses in some have ridiculous difficulty curves...

... but they're still pretty charming. They're games you deeply want to like and that goes a long way towards hitting the "fun" threshold.

orcishgamer: Try playing just a bit now, let me know in 36 hours or so when you finally turn it off and try and sleep.

SimonG: Unfortunately I can't. I got some TnA here that need attention. I managed to sneak in Sequence one and I'm already hooked. I need to read up on that SP DLC for Revelations however, as I was to cheap to buy it.
Well, you know, priorities:)

I was aiming towards the people who haven't any X games. From what I understand X3 is the best of the series so to get just those for $5 is a pretty good deal.
Flash Sales
Wargame -75% $9.99
Carrier Command Gaea Mission -50% $24.99
Resonance -75% $2.49

Unless im wrong Wargame was on daily for same price before?. Tempting. Anyone got the game?
New Flash Sales

Hitman Absolution -25-75% off (Standard $29.99. Professional $34.99) - cheaper on Amazon between 30/12 - 5/1 19.99/29.99

Simcity 4 -75% $4.99

Atom Zombie Smasher -75%$2.49

A-10C Warthog Community vote -75% $9.99

People didn't vote for Farming Simulator 2013? This is a deep and personal insult to myself.

New flash sales:

Trine franchise 75% off
3D Mark Vantage 75% off
Devil May Cry 4 66% off

Except that only two of those are actually flash sales... DMC4 is 66% throughout the whole sale. Not sure if bug or troll.

I checked on this one as it was on my wishlist. DMC 3 or 4 aren't really flash sales, as they only have the standard christmas 66% off, but I think the 3+4 pack is indeed a flash sale. It's been a while since I last checked, but I don't recall having seen this one pack on the summer (or even autumn) sales; but it at the very least does show the flash sale text and counter on it.

I'm still waiting to see if it gets a better deal though, in case there's a bug in there.

DMC3 is barely playable without a joypad, just so you know.

DMC4 can be played with one button only to make combos, if you want :D And it's a kickass game, but the second half of the game is just backtracking...
Does anyone know if Trine 2 is coming to GOG anytime soon?
I would prefer to buy it here rather than on steam.

Thanks for the warning. I've actually played both games already, so I know what to expect. I still want to buy them for online availability and because I'm unsure if I own a (legal) copy of DMC3 for PC. It's a pity there's no cloud save feature on this game, though, this is the rare kind of game where it would actually be usefull.

Also, backtracking with pandora is never just backtracking... but yes, you're right.

I'm not sure if this is a huge issue, but its multiplayer uses Steam. So it would seem like it'd be a bit of an effort to get it (full-featured) off Steam.
Well, I got boted pretty fast when you switch from Nero to Dante... But maybe it's just me.

Didn't know that the multiplayer feature required Steam to work ...
Thanks for the heads up!

No, it's not just you. The character switch in DMC4 is terrible, when you manage to get a hold of Nero it switches to Dante, but I probably managed because I spent a crazy amount of time playing DMC3 on PS2. I got boted bad when the game switched me back to Nero against all those bosses, though.
The Steam client is telling me the bottom 3 flash deals run for the next six days. I exited and restarted the client just to see if it came up the with the same countdown timer and it did.

This makes me wonder if from now until the end of the sale, the flash deals that come up will remain valid for the remainder of the sale rather than for short periods of time. Might be wishful thinking but this would be very cool for me since i am broke now and get paid on Jan. 3rd, just in the nick of time to blow too much money on GOG and Steam wishlists both. :D

It is possible, but I'm willing to bet that it's just DMC4 that's causing the counter to show 6 days remaining in the front page.

Indeed, according to isthereanydeal the DMC3+4 was 50% off. Well, nothing for me then, since I already have 3SE on the PS2.

Edit: Now the front page counter is fixed, plus the DMC4 store page also shows the flash deal counter. Except that the game is still 66% off. lol
