I'll easily admit the sale is pretty bland this year but it's not fair to compare non daily prices to the specials on other retailers. Saints Row full was half the price you're saying just yesterday. Far Cry 1 +2 is 2x 6,49, not 20? And there's been no daily on those yet.

Still, it's still twice what I paid on Gamersgate and that was a prolonged sale too so not just for a day. But all that is still rather missing the point - Amazon and Gamersgate simply have more interesting deals if you ask me. Plus Steam is still a rip off for Europeans while Gamersgate at least as a UK alternative which has a much better price for Europeans than Steam. But like I said, I actually think it's a good thing - it's just rather ridiculous to see the Steam sale get so much attention when Amazon and Gamersgate have better deals.

The only Valve game I own on Steam and have played is Portal 2, and only because I got a free copy with the PS3 version of the game. It's not that I'm not interested, I've just been waiting for the Valve Complete Pack to reach the right price. Has it ever been available for 75% off or is 50% as low as it's likely to go?

P.S: A friend that has like 1000 games(I'm not exaggerating) on steam said he'd give me his original TF2 items for coal and we didn't get any coal this year.

Augh! There are too many sales, I almost wish I didn't have the little bot of money I do have. It was just easier to live with sales when I couldn't buy them anyways. I have $12, so I have to decide what to buy and where. Now I have like, 20 tabs open and I keep glancing at my Steam wishlist and oh God, I can't choose anything.

Is it worth the extra money to buy Dead Island GotY Edition, or is it better to just buy the base game and the Ripper Steam? How about Deus Ex Human Revolution, standard or Augmented Edition? I am wracked with indecision.

Can someone tell me how a 'Daily Deal' ends up going for 48 hours? thats not daily at all....

I guess they just want to give people a chance in case they miss the first day, or are indecisive and want to consider certain deals against others.

Or you could just buy it from the Humble Bundle and get it DRM-free, multiplatform and for Steam for potentially the same price.
