PhoenixWright: Great group idea - I'm in.

Weclock: was it really necessary to bump this thread? it was last updated on september 22nd, it's october 17th for cryin out loud

I really did do it intentionally, in hopes that more people would see it and join the group. Also, I haven't been keeping track of whether it's just you or not, but people in the GOG community seem to care more about stuff like this than in other communities I've seen.
I would think that bumping an old topic would be much preferable to making a new one, at least. Anywho, I think that bumping this topic has utility, and I'm sorry to bug you with the action.

I'm not bugged by it, but it says explicitly in the TOS for the forums that bumping old topics is against the Rules, I am just trying to help out. Don't want to see your account being deleted.
Hey, I'm glad this got bumped, I had no idea the group existed and I just joined it. If Phoenix got his account banned for this "bump" I would be the first in line to file a protest over it.
Besides, I have a feeling that the rule regarding the so-called "bumping" of old posts is not a sharp black and white rule. Just like all other forums, resurrected old posts are likely subject to mod review and if a thread was unnecessarily bumped, then the mods may take action. I can't imagine they would issue a ban over a single offense, but rather a private warning.

Actually, bumping this topic is the only reason I joined the group - I didn't even know it existed...

how can a private warning be issued without a PM system?
Anyway, I think if I didn't mention anything at all, and if PhoenixWright hadn't known better and had decided to go off bumping all sorts of old topics, who would be there to at least say, 'hey man, watch out.'
That's all I was trying to do. Make sure there isn't some sort of bumping spree.

They do have our e-mail addresses...
Yea, I'm joining as well. Don't play much multiplayer, but when I am, it'd be cool to do it with fellow nostalgics. :)

I've made a decision, I'm done with serious discussion (unless it pertains to game troubleshooting), from now on, nonserious replies goes in every field (except the cotton one).
Joined as well.

Just joined, not that I have much on Steam.
Just a word of warning to my fellow gamers, I just got this message claiming to be from the GOG.com group asking me for my Steam info. DO NOT GIVE YOUR STEAM INFO TO ANYONE.

Hmm, the [url] tags aren't working for me.

Thanks for the "heads up", but that doesn't appear to be from the GOG group at all, it looks like whoever it was is trying to pretend to be Steam Support.
oh, how I wish they sent me that message, don't they know it says specifically in every steam chat 'lol don't give out ur password dummy.'
Yeah, but they also know that the average PC user is an idiot who falls for things like that anyway.
