Oh yeah, they always have these deals on Steam. Just another reason for my Steam love.
Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway offered the first Brothers in Arms with a preorder. Far Cry 2 did the same offering the first Far Cry. Now if only I could afford the one game to begin with.
But it's not like the Ghost Recon games are costing an arm and a leg anyway. The bundles are even a better deal, but I'm just a little strapped right now in addition to being occupied with responsibility and junk.

It's out on PC already? Does a boxed copy come with a microphone and a tactical nuke? These are questions that remain unanswered...
Anyway, I'd just like to say that it's AWESOME on the PS3. The voice commands are the best I've seen (better than software like Naturally Speaking). It was worth the wait and the money. It's one of the few Tom Clancy sellout titles I've enjoyed.

While the offer is interesting, I already got GRAW from another deal.
I bought a motherboard and it came along. :D

How is EndWar? I think World in Conflict is better than it.

I have to agree that the voice command system is outstanding, never seen better voice recognition and I desperately hope they add that to the next rainbow6 game so you can issue orders verbally.
That said, I personally thought the game (or at least the 360 demo) was boring as hell, very generic RTS

Meh. It's published by Ubisoft. I won't be buying it out of principle.

Now hold on, they did the decent thing with the Prince of Persia release. I think that warrants holding off judgement until the DRM details are revealed - unless of course your problem with Ubisoft is for other reasons.

Yeah, purposefully NOT selling the POP DLC to PC players is a *real* good thing. Normally I wouldn't care, but when it actually adds major game changing features and a supposedly better ending to the game, then I get annoyed that they can decide not to release it for the PC. So yeah, they did good with the DRM only to shaft us later by witholding major game content which fixes several problems, including the difficulty of the game.
Sorry, can't find myself supporting a company that decides to do that.

Edit: hang on, difficulty of the game? Don't tell me they're finally going to let me leap to my death and the stupid cow won't save me (with magic flying she could be using whenever we needed it except she wants pretty wall tiles to be lit up because they compliment her outfit)?

I think the difficulty was mainly increased NPC damage/AI improvements or sommat. I can't find the link to the full details anymore. I expect you still can't kill yourself though =/ But basically, they listened to the feedback from players and put it all in the DLC. So while the console players now get to benefit from the improvements we won't.
So, due to business reasons, I will no longer be giving Ubisoft my money =)
In good news, that means more money for GOG!

Well to be honest I wasn't really impressed by the idea of the epilogue, it seems like all they can do is restart the game, have a mission that ultimately does nothing ("this isn't much but it might delay his escape for a few weeks") or have a presto changeo reversal that would only piss people off since the sequel wouldn't make much sense without the epilogue.

Fair enough, I didn't know anything about the DLC, but that is a bit crap. That said, the no-drm decision was such a significant one that I feel it outweighs most other issues. That's my personal opinion though and I totally get you feeling otherwise.
