lowyhong: On that note, most female Mac users I know are hot lol

All hot girls are into trendy over simplified crap. Like football players :|
well it looks like not being able to boot into windows ain't so bad afterall, hopefully I just won't have to buy new licenses for each goddamn game.
Sarcasm on
Mac users? Who cares, they deserve nothing for being supportive about Big Brother Apple....
/Sarcasm off

TheCheese33: Don't worry. They'll learn their lesson when sales are piss-poor.

Never underestimate the ignorance of casual gamer masses. If game burns down their computer, they'll just say "oh, I was going to get new rig anyway".

But casual gamers would be more likely to purchase Peggle than Assassin's Creed II, wouldn't they?

Depends. And "Look, boobs!" seem to always work as does "Look, shiny!" :P
I just realized that this means Valve supports Apple, but doesn't support Sony.
Irony.

They recently mentioned that they're rethinking their strategy on the PS3, and are considering supporting it again in the future.

heh, I think the same about germans. generalizations ftw.
I'm not a mac user, but if steam comes to mac, we are 80% of the way to linux which is awesome. You know there were always a few people on the forums that bugged valve to port steam, but I never it believed it would really happen.
Every virus that infects the Windows world eventually finds its way to the Mac World. I guess this now includeds Steam.
Well, if it engages publishers to make (good) Mac ports of their games, it could be nice.
That said, I'll never install Steam on my Mac, for many reasons already discussed (so many times) on this boards.
And well, when I see how Steam can sell Windows games that not even work correctly on recent computers (see the first Jedi Knight for example), I have high doubts that it will give us any good.
The only good thing I can see: maybe some Mac games will finally see their universal binary patch released.
Cause it's such a shame to see so many games still working like sh** on intel Macs.
Ununtu/Linux native support would be much more interesting, market share wise.

How do you mean? Linux has a tiny desktop market share compared to Macs.

Stats please.
Every PC is a potential Linux/Ubuntu-equipped machine, which gives Linux support a greater degree of magnitude by way of PC's market domination.
Many people would abandon Microsoft if "PC Gaming" didn't mean "Windows Gaming".
