Is there a way to verify whether a Steam Code is still good or not without claiming it? I know here it can be done with gog codes, but not sure about Steam codes.

Septerra Core: Legacy of the Creator Steam Key: CNB5N-MBJY8-G845T
I'm not entirely sure it's good but I've already got it here at gog so no need for me to take a chance on testing it out.
