I'm dying to know if anyone from here won at the summer camp promo!
Tell us about it! <3

For those that don't know what i'm talking about:
Steam had a summer sale, and gave 100 people 10 games each from their wishlist.

Had 19 tickets or so myself, was fun but apparently i didn't win.
If you won: What did you get? :D

Give it time. Going by the T&Cs Valve still have 24 hours in which to do the first draw. So don't expect any winners (here or elsewhere) yet.

I remember them keeping the list of winners secret so the winners wouldn't be... um, attacked, so I don't expect a list of winners to be released. Not by them, anyway.

I don't know what there is to get upset about. A little envy is ok,
but c'mon getting mad about something like that is the trade of 3 year olds.

Well, I guess you could say that those forums are sometimes the playgrounds of 3 year olds. Sure, there are many reasonable people there, and then there are some people who are ..... not.

It was more along the lines of people having their accounts hacked.

Would someone really hack other's account for ten games? Seriously?

I, btw, can promise that I won't win. But if nmillar isn't one of the lucky 100, Valve should give him a consolation prize..

Doubt it. Most steam profiles are public, and you can see how many games someone has there.
If you mean - hacking them out of envy, then that's really low. :<
Well how does the new system steam introduced work btw? Shouldn't that prevent things like that?

You have a better shot at winning any contest by GOG or by other users here than you'd ever have at Steam. I've never gotten what the fuss is about participating in a contest with a great prize if the competition pool is extremely large. It may be a hundred winners, but each participant could pour in several tickets, so just imagine how many tickets are in the pool. If any of my six tickets gets chosen, I'll start playing the lottery from now on.

I honestly don't care about the prize; I've just had fun doing the achievements; if, in the unlikely event, I do win, then it'll be a nice bonus.

The Steam forums have been full of people accusing those with 100% achievements of cheating, but it's easy to look at someone's profile and check the amount of time they've spent playing the achievement games (I apparently have 68 hours of game playing in the last two weeks).
