Deus ex.
I don't know why, but I'm getting this feeling that people really like Deus Ex.

StealthKnight: You could record and stream it live using a streaming site like ustream or JustinTV. JTV has email alerts of your shows and it has a bigger screen that people can watch.

Thanks for the recommendation mate. I did consider streaming, but I doubt everybody will be watching simultaneously. The purpose of my project is not so much as to writing about my experience playing the game. Instead, it's more on you guys. Yup, it's all about how you guys interact with the LP, and I'm supposed to write about the whole experience.

You could schedule a time on when you are airing and see how many people can attend it. After wards you could post it on you tube have see what people who missed the live stream had to say. You tube would be easier to document the response unless you had someone save the chat logs for you. If you did you tube, I good way to accurately document response would be to have everyone record their response as
4:15- Take the bribe.

I thought of using FRAPS to record the live broadcast as I play. Unfortunately FRAPS has been known to take up copious amounts of HD space. Is there any other good screen capture program I can use alongside with Xfire? Otherwise I might have to just forego video recording, especially since it affects my framerate.
I'll just have to cross my fingers and hope people actually turn up :D

Make FRAPS save only a low number of frames per second. 20-25 is sufficient for youtube purposes really.

I'll test it tonight thanks. See you at the LP too!

lowyhong: Xfire has a capture tool as well. I also think you can just save the stream as well, but then I'm not sure. The only thing Xfire doesn't have is a modern layout.

Since Deus Ex is winning this thing either way, I'm going to vote for Knights of the Old Republic. It won't hurt Deus Ex at all, so I don't have to feel bad. I played through KotOR this week, so I have an affinity for it right now.
Now I'm moving on to the second installment--and worried about all the nay saying I've heard about the game.
Either way, I love Deus Ex and Fallout 2, so either of the top runners sounds like a blast.
Yea Michael I took your advice and went with Xfire. It doesn't support simultaneous broadcasting and recording though.

KOTOR2 is still great for all its flaws. The storyline is very bleak, and it's probably the darkest Star Wars game I've ever heard. This could have been my GOTY if it wasn't for the crazy number of bugs; I had to restart the game from scratch, halfway through it, because of a bug that kept causing me to CTD.
Anyway, don't forget to check out the Deus Ex Let's Play thread for LP schedules!

For me kotor 2 gets better every time i play it. At first i didnt like it as much but now i like it almost as much as the first. The reason i chose deus ex is because the choices that matter are fairly far between and theres not as many stupid quests like most rpgs. In deus you shoot a bunch of guys or sneak around them and theres an important decision every once in a while.

You could use ZD soft recorder which can record and compress the footage. You can compress the footage recorded by using a video converting program
