Hi all,

I just came back from my parents home and did I found on the roof? MicroProse Starship Troopers by Blue Tongue.

As I remembered years back, I was absolutely not able to get it running on Windows XP. Just reinstalled it now on Windows 7 and say what: Running great on highest resolution and settings :)

Just wanted to share this, as this game is so great!!!

That's great to hear. Always nice to find a time capsule from yesteryear's. Especially if it's a game in a near to mint condition. Or, conversely, at least works.

Starship troopers? I remember reading about it some years back in a magazine. Should be a good game. Maybe I'll give it a shot in the near future, if I can find a copy.

Maybe a strange place to find it but I found worse in my roof in the past,



Edit: I never knew there was a Starship Troopers game, Just looked on ebay UK and its about £5, might pick that up in the near future

In case of the game, it is a great Real Time Strategy Game. You lead up to three squats into War against huge amounts of Bugs... Warrior, Tanks, everythings there.

There were 2 Games in total.
1. The RTS by Microprose from 2000
2. The FPS by Empire Interactive from 2005

I am talking about the first one... much better than the FPS ;)

There appears to also be a 1998 one calles Battlespace that was a a kind of flight sim.

I found this game up in my attic too recently. Forgot how much fun it was. The troops carried on to each mission and took exp with them. You had to take the right kind of units and equipment into a mission, loved the defense missions. Cool to see it mentioned as most people never seem to remember it.

Or in his area of Germany, it is always raining old PC games. :)

Common misconception: The movie sucked.

It was amazing.

Only the first one.

I remember playing this game as well now, its alot like the aliens vs predator RTS if I remember right.

There was an AVP RTS????
