I want this CE, sure. Awesome flash drive, for the fans of SC1.
But let's do the math: 3 CE games * $100 = ???
So guess I'll get the digital edition on bnet for now, OR get the complete edition years ahead. :/

aluinie: I wont be buying starcraft 2 i made it that i would never buy another blizzard game after buying wow collectors edition when it came out only to find i was locked in the euro servers and i no longer could play with members of my old everquest guild to say i was pissed was an understatement as the bulk of the guild where from the us. So i played wow for a week cancelled my account and never looked at blizzard again.

No offence, but I fail to see how this is Blizzard's fault.

They where the first company that i had dealt with that had reginol restrictions in a multiplayer game. Didnt have that in Everquest or anyother mmo at that time and i had spent years playing with a lot of those guys.
Not 100% sure on this so I may be talking horseshit... ^^
I have heard though that you can import an US version of the game and that would give you access to the U.S servers.
I can see how it would be annoying, I take it your 'friends' carried on playing regardless, then? >>
aye they did which broke up the guild and as there was very few non us players we drifted apart which was a pain considering we had gone all the way through Everquest,Star wars galaxies.

That is recommended retail price. The actual retail price will be much lower. ;) It always is.
Look at MW2 for example.

<3 falling in love...
I"ve been playing the Starcraft 2 beta for a while now, some good things and some mediocre things about it. Granted that Blizzard doesn't give beta testers access to the single player campaign, so that might change my opinion of it.
Playing multiplayer quite a bit though and there is no way i'd pay $59.99 for it. I'll wait a year and get it cheaper. But for those that are huge Starcraft fans it might well be great for them.
In short, the single player campaign better be epic to justify that price.

If they repeat the quality of the Warcraft 3 campaign... It would be worth more than 60$.
I love the disclaimer on that press release.

That is an epic disclaimer

Probably necessary as the SEC is pretty strict about companies needing to explicitly declare any forward-looking statements that could be taken as material to investors.

It is. Its nothing revolutionary but its starcraft, plays and feels like starcraft, just with new graphics and the units changed up enough to make it intresting again, with new stratergys and everything.
Also have you seen the map editor? I would pay $60 for that alone, especially with what the community will beable to do with it.

As much as I liked Warcraft 3... $60 is still a ludicrous price regardless.

Keep in mind they'll be selling fan made maps through micro transactions.
