I'm surprised to see that people are surprised by the low requirements.
It's Blizzard, they've made a name with games who require low system requirements. World of Warcraft had very low requirements which made sure a lot of people could play it.
Still, a P4 1.3 ghz is putting the mark very very low. The game should run on most pcs built last decade with those requirements.

I suspect a dual-core would be recommended to run this game because the fake requirements that were posted are low for running a new Operating System let alone a game.
Also this is not a pre-order for me. I may buy it if it's really really good but I am hesitant because it looks like Warcraft 3 with shaders and Space Marines so far. Maybe because it's based on an aged engine and all from like 2006 maybe they can lower the price to $30, then I would be happy to get a game that's been in development hell for however many years.

SC2 will be an instant preorder for me, unless it's more than $50. I'm not going to pay $180 for SC2.

In two words: auto aim. All console FPS have it to varying degrees. In Shadowrun 360 gamers retained that advantage even when matched with PC gamers. So yeah, kind of like having an aimbot. Only one that won't get you banned for cheating.
Anyway, yeah, I agree about different I/O for different games. That's why I've got a 360 controller for PC after all. I'd never want to play a driving game, beat em up or platformer with keys/mouse. It's just not right.

Yep, that was definitely one of the things that helped. Cross platform for FPS just doesn't really work that well lol. Mostly I just found it easier to do the spells and whatnot. I.E. in Halo, it's way easier to melee and grenade and whatever in tricky situations on a gamepad then on the keyboard (this is me of course). I guess you can't really compare the pc vs console versions because they were meant to use a pad, but you get what I mean. Thats a control scheme that is more then just mapping keyboard buttons to a gamepad button if that makes any sense. I kind of admire hardcore sniper guys on console more then on PC, just because it takes a lot of ability to manipulate those controls vs point and click. Though it gets INSANE watching really good Quakers and stuff too!
Yeah, I dunno about the 50$ a pop SC2 if there is going to be one every year. Doesn't that mean you have to have them all to play decent multi as well?
And if there isn't LAN play how are they going to do that tournament crap? Still excited for it though.

I don't think SC1/WC3 were $120, either. Not as far as I remember, at least.
Still, you'll likely be able to pick up the SC2 battlechest for $15 by 2015, anyway.

I might remember wrong (always a strong possibility) but I think their statement at BlizzCon was that all the multiplayer content will be available for everyone, it's just the singleplayer campaigns that will be separated into 3 boxes.
It may also that you'll be able to join in on games created with the expansions even if you don't have them but you'll only be able to play the races you've bought the box for, so you can always play terran and if you want to play zerg or protoss you'll have to buy their respective addon... as I said, fuzzy memory, but it's something close to these two possibilities.

You are right. Multiplayer will be complete with the Wings of Liberty campaign, another campaigns will have different SP content along with complete MP.

I was under the impression the Zerg and Protoss campaigns would be released more as episodes or expansions. Eh, I'm probably just imagining it, but it would make sense if that was the case. Consumers aren't stupid.
