Well... It would be kind of wrong if * would be the daughter of [url=http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20080506155343/starwars/images/8/89/Leia_endorpromo02.jpg]her, wouldn't it? It's much more believable that she's the daughter of her! So... Nothing wrong with the old stars being... well... old.

*I think Episode VII-IX will show the New Republic and a new Jedi Order with a new generation of Skywalkers. Star Wars was always about the Skywalkers. And I think this girl will be the daughter of either Leia or Luke. She looks a bit like Natalie Portman (Padme), who would be her grandma then.

That seems to be the most common theory, although I doubt it would be Luke's children, as he is Jedi and is forbidden to love in that sense. Remember the shit that Luke's father got himself into by not following this golden rule?

Then again, like father, like son...maybe Luke's the villain?

In the EU books, Luke is married and has a son. He (Luke) had his dark side moments, but he always returned to the light side. The Sith-wannabe of the family was one of Leia's kids ;) But EU means shit, so... Yeah, I think as well that she'll be Leia's daughter.

Depends, I guess. Timothy Zahn's Thrawn trilogy is actually pretty good. I'd really like to see Mara Jade on the big screen.

would have loved to have timothy zahn's trilogy become films, but we know that's not going to happen... unless they do the heroes with other actors and not the originals. I am being realistic and expecting it to be about the sons of the Skywalkers.

So flares in every other scene and moronic plot confirmed. How exciting....
The only thing left of interest is to see if it's going to be worse than the Lucas's later masterpieces or somehow comparable. I'd hazard a guess than it's going to be ep1 all over again, with an added layer of stupid due to the genius of JJ Abrams.

The EU was not "sanctioned fan fiction" until the powers-that-be shat all over loyal SW fans and decided that "I made SF acceptable for the masses with my Star Wreck movies!" Abrams should be handed the reins to the trilogy.He may do a marginally better job than Lucas did with his last 3 abysmal forays into the galaxy he created.

A lot of those novels were actually good...for a tie-in series, to say nothing of the graphic novels, Shadows of the Empire multimedia project, and vast amounts of sourcebooks and lore for the various rpg systems. Deciding that all of that was "lulz, just some fan service" was frankly a disservice.
