I have heard there are some really cool EaW mods, and I'd like to know which do people recommend. So... Just go ahead and do just that, there's rep in it for the mod that catches my attention the most :D
I tried out a few and really liked Absolute Corruption - it made gameplay a lot more enjoyable imho, and also added lots of spaceships etc.

Republic at War was released not too long ago and looks absolutely stunning, haven't played it yet, though.

Awakening of the Rebellion is another mod I always thought looks extremely promising, but never got around to play it. I believe the development team is German, but an English version is available.
its been ages since ive played these games (EaW+FoC)

What is the site that kinda stores the majority of mods? (like TESNexus etc)
@reaver; Most mods is stored at moddb.com.

There is Awakening of the Rebellion, it's my number 1 mod. It gives very SW-like feel. It is in German but there is way to install english from older version.

Then, there are Republic at War, can't remember how it is, Thrawn's Revenge: Imperial Civil War, quite decent but I remember there was something wrong with it. It is not set into Galactic Civil War, though. There is newer version since then I think.
Phoenix Rising mod is promising but last version was mess and since then there wasn't another version for two or three years, although Phoenix still works on the mod.
Looking at my mod folder I have Rise of the Shadows installed too but I don't think I ever played it.

Ah yeah was incase there was another little cubby hole of them, sorry i didnt reply earlier, thread got buried pretty swiftly
No wonder I see you playing EaW so often these days bro :P

Good lot of mods, I think I may just spring for the Gold edition after this sem. This, and Universe at War too.

If there is no new version with vastly improved performance, I wouldn't recommend Phoenix Rising. I tried some campaign once and it was utterly unplayable because of performance issues (the fault probably lies with the game engine itself, but sadly that does not make it any more playable).

@Fenixp: If you like impressive manuals, look for the Republic at War manual, there is a pdf high-res version available which is 500MB or something like that :D

Yeah it was slow mess and there is no new version so far but its WIP. Phoenix announced he amnaged to tone down lag a lot and it is now actually playable but he they are taking damn too long to release it.

I'll second the Absolute Corruption mod, especially if you enjoy the space battles. Everything feels a bit more to scale. The tie fighters etc are tiny compared to the star destroyers. I play that mod with another mod that raises the unit limit to something crazy like 1000. You get some proper cinematic space battles with those mods combined.
One more vote for Absolute Corruption; it's indeed very, very good, with a large amount of new content, which, however, doesn't have a feeling of being forced into the game just to increase content.

There's also Empire at War's FileFront page. I guess it largely overlaps with ModDB (and the latter is probably more popular), but it's also worth checking out.

Absolute Corruption it is then, but I'll be sure to try out all the suggested mods here. Thanks guys!
I just browsed moddb for interesting mods, and noticed Thrawn's Revenge for EaW: http://www.moddb.com/mods/thrawns-revenge
Looks like it adds tons of stuff. Has anyone played it?

I mentioned it in my post. It is decent mod and if you are into Star Wars: Empire at War it's worth a try. On of the better, IMO but also I played better ones.
