Amazon is selling Star Trek The Next Generation: Birth of the Federation from $150 new to $50 used. Definitely, too steep for me.

Now this would be a nice one for GOG to sell between $5 to $10. I heard it's a good one.
Definitely, but re-releasing the game as a digital download would require the permission of all rights holders. And in case of games that are linked to a popular TV/Movie franchise, the licensing situation tends to be messy. I'm not even sure if the rights of the Star Trek franchise are at the same company right now (Paramount? Viacom?), let alone where the rights to the games might have ended up.
Freespace 2 is $50-$60 on Amazon. If only there were some place we could get it cheaper.

Who am I kidding!? Even if someone did have it cheaper it's not like it would ever go on sale and even if it did go on sale it would probably be some stupid 30 second sale rather than something that lasted 3 + days.
series: CBS. Movies: Paramount. Games: several studios and copyright holders listed above. One of those is Interplay who made Starfleet command series. Overall copyright holder: Rodenberry family. The rights would have to be negotiated between the 3 to get a re-release

it is a good one and you can play it on game ranger
I'd love the see TNG:The Final Unity here, would probably pay more than the usual 10$ for it too. I'm crazy about Star Trek, especially TNG, and Final Unity is probably the best review TNG game out there, and yet I never got to play it.
Holy crap. I could sell BOTF for that price? There's a reason I kept all my old CD games I guess...

I think there was an open source remake out there somewhere. Not sure if it's still around though.
Remember Bridge Commander? Now that was a great Star Trek game!

It was a lot of fun. However I didn't like how the player ended up being sort of a faceless, voiceless captain. I get it that they were trying to get the "YOU are the captain" thing across, without giving you just some player character, but the result was kind of wonky. Of course imagination took care of that, but I always hoped for a sequel that would be even better and let you create your own avatar and have actual dialogue.

My favourite was by far the Away Team. Essentially a Commandos clone, but It had the best gameplay and story of all the ST games I've played. The Borg levels were awesome, and the whole thing felt like it could be a movie. Rather dark though, much more DS9 than TNG.

The first Elite Force was good too, despite being a straight up shooter it felt like it could well be an actuall Voyager episode.

Yeah, the Elite Force series was pretty good too. There weren't that many Voyager games.
