Not hyped up enough, apparently. I hate remakes, prequels, spinoffs for a reason.

I'm definitely going to give it a watch but I'm expecting it to be less than wonderful. I MIGHT be pleasantly surprised but I doubt it.
I don't see any reason for it to be the original crew, surely they could have made it a DIFFERENT ship!

As a huge Trek fan, I was enormously unexcited about this movie, before these reviews started coming in. Now I'm starting to get my hopes up that it will actually be good.

Meh. Just meh. No more, no less: meh.

I have been extremely unimpressed by the trailer and I am no fan of JJ Abrams (Alias was ok but I hated Lost) so this movie will have to be amazing to satisfy me.

As usual, I'll probably see it before I buy it, it does look interesting though. I have a box with the previous movies, though more because I know it's a cult hit (and it was cheap) and thus needed seeing, rather than because I'm a fanboi (since I'm not).

i prefer tng plus era star trek with out added overacting form the 60's thou it's still good

I wasn't getting my hopes up for this after recent movies.... but I might just go and see it anyway - doubt the wife would want to come with me though.

i'm expecting it to be entertaining in the mindless space adventure with shit blowing up kind of entertaining.

im going to watch it for sure. If they will be screening it in my city ;/ remember what pain in the ass was getting the last two parts even on video tapes.
