Hey, I just read about this demo, and thought I'd share it with fellow adventure-game lovers. It's a fan-made adventure game setting in the Original Series Star Trek Universe.

They just released a demo of what will be the first of (hopefully many?) episodes, each one a retelling of an actual episode of Star Trek TOS. Pretty cool...

This is insanely ambitious and I hope it won't die halfway.

I thought the same thing at first, but Paramount is exceedingly generous towards people using the Star Trek IP so long as they don't profit from it.
Between the internet and watching the Trekkies documentary, I've seen comics, cartoons, live-action shows, etc. all unofficial but accepted by Paramount.

I doubt it will. Links to buy Paramount merchandise on the site. Paramount are usually very good to the Star Trek fanbase because it's such a fertile cash cow.

That is an amazing project! I hope the developers will kidnap the actors from the series and force them to do voice over work.

Thats going to be hard considering Doohan and Kelly are dead. The rest will be expensive as Shatner is about to star in shit my dad says and Nimoy is in Fringe.

Nimoy actually retired very recently.

Cloning it is then! But yeah there would have to be blackmail involved to get Shatner and Nimoy. Maybe Uruk is available to get certain people to star despite certain issues. . .

I would like to see that. Uruk how do you propose to raise Doohan from the dead when his ashes are currently in orbit?

I tried this yesterday but after the intro it froze so I couldn't actually play. I'll give it another go some time next week and see if I can get it working.

It looks good. And AGS made nontheless.
I just got my first game over after failing to save a colonist but if felt very start trek. Multiple characters to control, decent interfaces, very nice.
