Yeah, for those of you who don't frequent #GOG, you should. I'm surprised nobody posted this. For a cool £84 million (US $120 million), the famed JRPG company is going to acquire Eidos, famed for its games such as Hitman, Tomb Raider, and NOT Kane & Lynch. But one thing is certain: is this failed British company worth the pounds? Is there a secret plan found in dem der hills?
Maybe Eidos is a way to break into the European market, possibly a way for the Rising Sun to invade Europe... virtually.
(I wrote that myself. Cool, huh?)

That almost sounds like a game made by the developers of 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand. XD
Oh well. I haven't liked anything from Square Enix since they stopped being just Square. So I'm not expecting anything wonderful to come from this.

Weclock: turn based hitman

That could maybe work.
It's possible Eidos would continue to operate as they are they would just have a new owner. But I might be willing to play some type of tie-in.

A JA2 style Hitman could be all sorts of awesome. But yeah, Square Enix havent produced anything worth playing in years. Why do they(and by they I mean all those bloody awful companies that produce JRPG's) get away with producing exactly the same type of RPG that they did in the nineties but whith better graphics. Western RPG's win out in innovation and progress (almost)every time. Ugh I HATE GRIND!!!!
