Anyone knows why the "license countdown" won't update? I have to hit refresh every time I want to know the real amount of remaining licenses. In chrome it works like a charm but in IE it's so annoying. I reset my browser to factory default settings. I installed latest version of Flash player and Java.

I am running windows 8.1 64bits

As a temporary fix you might want to try doing this: http://superuser.com/questions/81182/how-to-force-internet-explorer-ie-to-really-reload-the-page[/url] (but set it back once you're done).

I don't know if that will work but the only other thing I can think of is to quickly download another browser for this sale, if you can.

I'm having the same issue with Firefox (27.0.1), so I'm keeping the counter open in Opera, which is working fine.

Yeah I don't like it either. I think GOG need to rethink how they do their counter to make it work with IE. I think it's possible that IE is more aggressively caching something but I'm not sure.

IE doesn't check the contents of JSON for changes. There isn't anything that you can do to fix it.

I heard if you open GOG in InPrivate Browsing (ctrl + shift + P) and keep the GOG site also opened in the normal tab/window everything works normally.

Edit: I have also seen confirmation that it worked for some people.

Personally, that's one of the settings I set every time I reinstalled Windows. When I load (or reload) a page, I WANT the latest version, I'm not on a limited connection, and my connection was always speedy enough that there was never a reason to fetch the local cache (after I migrated from a 28.8 kbit/s modem to 0.5 Mbit/s DSL and onwards, that is - the former was, of course, limited in that we paid by the minute).

It does work for me, IE 11 Win 7 64 bit...

though I have to keep the Inprivate window open, a window open for the front page as well, and open a third window to post in the forums. heh!
