CD Projekt RED Group Spring Conference live tomorrow at 5:00 PM GMT

People say it is not spring until you can plant your foot upon twelve daisies. GOG.com has proven otherwise, and you knew it’s spring after eight daisies already: Legend of Grimrock, Treasure Adventure Game, Trine, The Whispered World, Machinarium, Wing Commander 4, Spacechem, and Darwinia. However, as many a sudden change takes place on a spring day, we’re about to reveal another four amazing daisies tomorrow during CD Projekt RED Group Spring Conference.

The harvest of a whole year depends on what you sow in the springtime. And this year, oh boy, we’re into some serious sowing. During CD Projekt RED Group Spring Conference we will:
* tell you what has changed on GOG.com in case you missed it
* offer a sneak peek at future GOG.com releases
* give you a special gift as a big, sweet “thank you” to our users

Remember that those who arrive to the spring first, drink the purest water-- or
Remember that spring won't come from one flower--we need plenty of you to watch the CD Projekt RED Group Spring Conference!

If anybody leaves GOG because they are disappointed that they already own the free game please close the door on your way out.

that's one of the problems if you are good to your customers and give away free stuff regularly: ppl that do not directly profit from it feel SHAFTED. for FREE things.
and they did say that they will continue to release old games weekly.

let''s see what they released in the last few weeks:
thief, thief2, syndicate, anachronox, ....no, certainly not classic games that were requested heavily.

I say spoiled brats

( nobody take it personally, i am talking in general, it is a deeply human psychological effect)
The mac and witcher 2 backup thing is a cdprojekt red thing, technically gog and cdprojekt red are two different entities and i dont believe gog.com was involved in doing this but it was still a kick in the nuts considering there was no announcement of there being a drm free mac version made available on gog.com and the fact if you want a mac version you have to tie your system up with steam drm. Mac users really are getting the shaft i guess gog is maybe a few months/years away from having mac games available.

Purchased both fallouts here on gog so no free fallout for me. I did order Assassin's Creed bundle and have already pre-ordered Grimrock as well as Botanicula.

Not to be a jerk, but people sure do like to cry. Honestly, I would have loved for the promotion to involve a game I didn't own (I have Fallout already), and I own the Witcher 2 in a gorgeous boxed version, so I'll probably take advantage of the backup option. For people to get upset though because the free game is one they already own (nevermind that it's insane to get upset at a company for not giving you something at a loss, talk about entitled), and then to get upset that the announcement was only about newer games, come on. I mean, come on. GOG has always had old games, there wouldn't be much reason for a special announcement there (unless it's System Shock 2). And getting newer Ubisoft games, which I fully intend to purchase, is terrific for GOG. It can help expand their business, and hopefully bring more publishers into the fold. I personally would love to see Ubisoft's Rayman Origins join the fold, it's already been released DRM-free elsewhere, it's just a little too expensive. My philosophy is always that less DRM is better, regardless of the age of the game, someone out there is extremely excited. Don't rain on their parade.

rjfigueiredo: No, I do like the fact that they sell it, I just find it false advertising when they talk about every game is sold the same price around the world and then their flagship title for newer games has a different pricing structure.
It just shows how unrealistic the GOG stance is when it comes to newer (high cost) games. They couldn't even do it for their own game.

SirCabbage: Own Fallout, have for years now. It was one of the games that made me join GOG. Sure, its good for other people, but im not sure how any self respecting "loyal" gog user wouldnt already have this title? the only fallout game I dont have is the tactics one-
I never got into Fallout when I was younger, and thus I haven't bought it either. I'm still a "self respecting 'loyal' gog user", thank you very much!
Thanks for the free fallout :D I kinda hated the first witcher hype part of the conference but as soon as gog stepped up I was exited again. I preordered Botanicula right away :D
Keep up the good work GOG.com.
Bucking the trend here it seems but;

Thanks GoG and CDP for the conference and news. I have wanted the original Fallout for months now and haven't managed to buy it due to so many other, more tempting purchases (along with those pesky bills) so the free gift was MUCH appreciated.

I actually like the new direction GoG is taking, and hope it works for them. Business is business, but if you're going to do business, better to do the GoG way than like...ahem...the others.

Now, if only I could persuade the CDP guys to give me a computer capable of running TW2 so I can enjoy their work some more...

Seriously, well done and here's to many more years of DRM free games and goodies.

And now, it's 4:30 in the morning. I should be going to bed.
Hmmz ... I knew that whatever RPG they would give out for free ... I probably had it ... so no expectations there ... but I don`t really get it how GOG advertises this as a gift for all old timers on the platform ... I can`t imagine anyone remotely interested in Fallout not already owning this game after 6 months or more of using GOG, with the recent interplay promos as well for extra incentive ... so these giveaways always leave me with a felling .. of heeeey we are advertising and selling this as WOOW what a great gesture ... when really it;s just giving away something everybody already has
Is there a YouTube clip or somewhere else on the spring conference? I missed it partly because I don't like to stream when servers will have a bandwidth overusage.

de_Monteynard: While I was psyched for the presentation and it was interesting, from the Witcher 2 to GOG.com, but there wasn't a single thing which would pull my strings in the same way that previous conferences did. But I'm glad for CDProjekt RED and GOG and I hope that the enticement of free Fallout will bring more people to GOG. Perhaps a free version of Wasteland would be nice, but who are we kidding here? EA giving something sought after for free?
EA doesn't have the rights to Wasteland anymore. InXile does (Brian Fargo and co. which is why they can develop a Wasteland 2).
Well, I was one of those who was able to take advantage of the Fallout giveaway. Granted, the only reason that I never bought Fallout on GOG was because I already owned a physical copy (same with the sequel), but it's still nice to have a backup on GOG now...

I like the new Ubisoft games, but they're seriously overpriced, which makes their addition a little disappointing. The current 2 for 1 price, averaging $10 each sounds more like what the regular price should be... Oh well...

They own the IP, not the publishing rights for the first game.
I was about to buy fallout last night and held off, and I would have felt pretty burned if I got up and it was suddenly free today after I'd just paid for it.

That said, I only saw the second half of the stream, what's this about 10GB of new content for Witcher?
