I was a bit bored and I thought to start a thread about spoilers. Here is two to begin. You can post some spoilers too if you want.

GameRager, the only spoiler I didn't need to hear was that your ban would actually end and you would return.

Well, let's see, I had LotR, KotOR, The Usual Suspects, Harry Potter, Stargate, The Sixth Sense, and a generic bad-story spoiler.

That's gotta be it...I never saw the usual suspects.

His character from The Usual Suspects whose name I can never remember. Most people'll get it just from saying "Kevin Spacey" though :P

To be fair, that applies to pretty much every movie he's ever made.

I don't get how the name of an actor playing a character in a movie is a spoiler though...well unless the actor is playing themselves in the movie while disguised at the same time or something,

Then the reference is even better since it's even more generally applicable :P

GameRager: Maybe it's just where I grew up, but people didn't talk about "X character in the movie" doing something -- they always said "when X actor did this" or "When X actor was blah blah blah," so saying Kevin Spacey would be a lot more instantly recognizable than the character's name.

Heh, well yeah, I was just pointing out that getting that specific movie was stretching it. I can think of at least 3 other well known movies he's been in to which that would apply.

The "classic" infuriating It-Was-All-A-Dream moments are from Dallas and St. Elsewhere. The older ones, like Alice in Wonderland, are more of a cultural cop-out due to fantasy not being a legitimate art form at the time. And then it was done hilariously on Newhart. It was a personal pet peeve of JRR Tolkien, too, according to one of his essays.
