GOG.com and Interplay Level up!

GOG.com has been in talks with our good friends at Interplay, and we’re pleased to be able to say that we have good news! Not only are we adding four classic games from their catalog to GOG.com in the near future, but we’re also going to give you another chance to [url=http://www.gog.com/en/promo/interplay_price_change_promo_09_11_12]save big on the games we already have for the next week!

Every silver lining has a cloud, though, and the reason that we’re putting the games on sale again is because we’re raising the prices on some of the Interplay games on the 16th of November as part of our new deal with Interplay. As such, games such as Fallout, MDK, Redneck Rampage and others may never be as cheap on GOG.com as they will be this next week. If you’ve been hesitating to pull the trigger on any classic Interplay games, now’s your last chance to buy and save big!

What are the new games that we’re adding to the Interplay collection? Well, if you know GOG.com, you know what we don’t like to give away that kind of news early, but if you’re paying attention on our website--or on any of our social media channels like , [url=http://www.facebook.com/gogcom]Facebook, , [url=http://www.youtube.com/gogcom]Google+ or even just your email inbox, you’ll be sure to find out.

So pick up our last huzzay of Interplay games at $2.99 this week, and let us know in the comments below what classic Interplay games you’re hoping will show up on GOG.com early next year--or perhaps even sooner!

Telika: Wasteland would be pre-insta-buy. It's truly a terrific ultima-like RPG.

But it's a bit weird in the way it refers to descriptions in a booklet (your-own-adventure-like, "read paragraph 228"), instead of displaying them on screen. I dare to hope that GOG would manage to tweak it, and insert the paper-based text into the game, instead of having us switch to desktop and acrobat reader every minute. But I don't know how feasible it actually is.
Wasteland publishing right's are EA's, not Interplay (wait for Wasteland 2, copies of Wasteland will be included)

And I liked this promo, the PWYW promo was bad for these who only wanted few games

Barefoot_Monkey: Ah, frequent Interplay promos - just like the good old days :)

By the way, by the end of the week everyone own Sacrifice, MDK1+2 and Giants. That's an order!
And Descent 1+2, Descent 3, Freespace, Freespace 2. If you don't have them by now then shame on you. Get shopping!
How come Wing Commanders and Lands of Lore and Ultimas not included in this sale?

Because they're published by EA. This is an Interplay sale.

Ohh, i see. I got confused because of the EA PWYW promo last week.
Damn, Interplay must be in dire straights.

I had a similar thought, but mine was more like "Wow, another Interplay promotion??? Wow."

I mean, I pretty much have all the Interplay games I'll ever want already...
Price raises, ouch? Well, this is definitely a good sale, but it feels kinda superfluous coming off the tail of the PWYW bundle, though it's good for people who wanted a game or two from Tier 3. Might pick up MDK or Freespace 2.

I would say so given that there losing Fallout 1,2, and tactics, the cost of the legal fees from battling Bethesda over F.O.O.L among other things. At least GOG was able to give a promo before Interplay has them jack the prices up
Interplay's death seem to be confirmed :-)

TheSupremeForce: Egad! Must... get... Sacrifice...

Licurg: Yes, you must .
And then my friends tell me I am insistent with getting them to play Deus Ex...

Can I link them here to prove that I could be much worse?

Sure. Just make sure they buy Sacrifice while they're here.
Atomic Bomberman, MDK 2 HD, Bard's Tale and Star Trek series (if possible) would be good.
I know everybody says Sacrifice is great, but how is it for somebody who doesn't generally care for RTS games? I think the last RTS I enjoyed was Warcraft 2.
Does Sacrifice still have problems running on Win 7 64 bit?
