GOG.com and Interplay Level up!

GOG.com has been in talks with our good friends at Interplay, and we’re pleased to be able to say that we have good news! Not only are we adding four classic games from their catalog to GOG.com in the near future, but we’re also going to give you another chance to [url=http://www.gog.com/en/promo/interplay_price_change_promo_09_11_12]save big on the games we already have for the next week!

Every silver lining has a cloud, though, and the reason that we’re putting the games on sale again is because we’re raising the prices on some of the Interplay games on the 16th of November as part of our new deal with Interplay. As such, games such as Fallout, MDK, Redneck Rampage and others may never be as cheap on GOG.com as they will be this next week. If you’ve been hesitating to pull the trigger on any classic Interplay games, now’s your last chance to buy and save big!

What are the new games that we’re adding to the Interplay collection? Well, if you know GOG.com, you know what we don’t like to give away that kind of news early, but if you’re paying attention on our website--or on any of our social media channels like , [url=http://www.facebook.com/gogcom]Facebook, , [url=http://www.youtube.com/gogcom]Google+ or even just your email inbox, you’ll be sure to find out.

So pick up our last huzzay of Interplay games at $2.99 this week, and let us know in the comments below what classic Interplay games you’re hoping will show up on GOG.com early next year--or perhaps even sooner!

What was in it and who redeemed it? :)

Licurg: I'm having a feeling of deja-vu :P
Licurg I'm SO disappointed! You have missed THIS:

avatar
F1ach: meh....half thinking of getting Sacrifice, but I just dont know if its worth it.
avatar
Roman5: Licurg busting into this thread in 3...2....1....
Just kidding, wanted to see your reaction though ;)
avatar
F4LL0UT: Lol, I feel like the Interplay PWYW promo ended just yesterday and now we're getting a chance for a worse deal.
avatar
timppu: Worse deal? Depends who you ask. This promo is a better deal for me to snatch some of those I want. The higher tiers in the PWYW promo for me were useless because I already had most of the games. At least this promo takes it into account if you already have many or most of the games.
It's also far better for me! I didn't get anything last time and now I plan to buy several games

IT IS ! Damn you, buy it ! It's one of the best games ever made, and the best Interplay has (yes, it's better than Fallout, that's the truth). So BUY it.
Wasteland would be pre-insta-buy. It's truly a terrific ultima-like RPG.

But it's a bit weird in the way it refers to descriptions in a booklet (your-own-adventure-like, "read paragraph 228"), instead of displaying them on screen. I dare to hope that GOG would manage to tweak it, and insert the paper-based text into the game, instead of having us switch to desktop and acrobat reader every minute. But I don't know how feasible it actually is.
Vote for Interplay games on the wishlist:

Atomic Bomberman
Black Dahlia
Blackthorne
The Bard's Tale
The Bard's Tale II: The Destiny Knight
The Bard's Tale III: Thief Of Fate
Blood & Magic
Boogerman: A Pick And Flick Adventure
Buzz Aldrin's Race Into Space
+ [url=http://www.gog.com/en/wishlist/games/clayfighter_tournament_edition]Tournament Edition
ClayFighter 2: Judgement Clay
ClayFighter 63⅓
ClayFighter: The Sculptor's Cut
Claymates
Cyberia
Dragon Wars
Dungeon Master II: The Legend Of Skullkeep
Fatal Racing a.k.a. Whiplash
Frankenstein: Through The Eyes Of The Monster
Hardwar: The Future Is Greedy
Heart Of Darkness
Heart Of The Alien: Out Of This World Parts I And II
Hostile Waters: Antaeus Rising
Kingdom II: Shadoan
The Lost Vikings

LOL, I was messin' with you, I still have the original release, box n all, yes its a great game (better than fallout?, well, lets agree to disagree on that :))

4 games from the first tier of Interplay games from the PYWY-promo.

I redeemed the M.A.X. pack, but there are still three games left.

Thank you, Vestin. Rep given. :)

Anyone know which Interplay specific games are getting a price increase, or are we going to have to wait until they go up?
Since I already have all of the games on disc or GOG, the price rise really doesn't bother me, but it still seems rather idiotic, especially as you can get Fallout 1, 2 and Tactics bundled together in pretty much any retail store these days for a pittance, and especially as the positive sales are largely owed to the low price point.

Still, if they're raising prices, it means they must be happy with the performance on GOG.

Might and Magic 1 unfortunately does the same. Without referring to the manual, you can't know which spells are which. You do eventually learn some of them, but the manual is indispensible.
