GOG.com and Interplay Level up!

GOG.com has been in talks with our good friends at Interplay, and we’re pleased to be able to say that we have good news! Not only are we adding four classic games from their catalog to GOG.com in the near future, but we’re also going to give you another chance to [url=http://www.gog.com/en/promo/interplay_price_change_promo_09_11_12]save big on the games we already have for the next week!

Every silver lining has a cloud, though, and the reason that we’re putting the games on sale again is because we’re raising the prices on some of the Interplay games on the 16th of November as part of our new deal with Interplay. As such, games such as Fallout, MDK, Redneck Rampage and others may never be as cheap on GOG.com as they will be this next week. If you’ve been hesitating to pull the trigger on any classic Interplay games, now’s your last chance to buy and save big!

What are the new games that we’re adding to the Interplay collection? Well, if you know GOG.com, you know what we don’t like to give away that kind of news early, but if you’re paying attention on our website--or on any of our social media channels like , [url=http://www.facebook.com/gogcom]Facebook, , [url=http://www.youtube.com/gogcom]Google+ or even just your email inbox, you’ll be sure to find out.

So pick up our last huzzay of Interplay games at $2.99 this week, and let us know in the comments below what classic Interplay games you’re hoping will show up on GOG.com early next year--or perhaps even sooner!
The The Bard's Tale series, some Star Treck games and Dungeon Master II would be a good addition to the catalog.

Densetsu: Are GoG versions of Fallout and Fallout 2 unique in any way in comparison to physical and digital releases elsewhere?
They are censored. But fan patches restore everything that is censored, you just need to download them.

Fenixp: They come in yellow installers with a ton of ads.

Thanks for replying.

I am aware these are versions without children. I also recall that there are children-related quests in uncut versions. Not sure how it works here, but I would recommend restoring them.

So I suppose that gameplay-wise there is nothing exclusive to Fallouts on GoG.

For those that don't know, No Mutants Allowed is a great source for mods, patches and more related to the Fallout series.

Fallout 1's without children, as far as I know, GOG version of Fallout 2 has them.

If there are no children in the game, it's the censored version, because that's pretty much all that has been removed.

GOG versions have children removed. It causes some problems with some quests.

Also, at least in one of them, perk graphics related to drugs (drug resistant and that other one) have changed pictures.

Fan patches + children patch restore them, so there's no problem. You just need to remember to download and install them.

I'm not sure if they could. GOG sells games worldwide, they don't do any region checking. If in some countries swastikas are forbidden, GOG would have to host two separate versions of Bloodrayne, for example.

But yeah, IT's doable. They probably just got such version from Interplay and that's the whole explanation.

Usually, in game related forums on GOG.com you will find all info, patches, mods and other links needed. Feel free to visit them ;)
A GOG staffer actually put the child mod in a sticky, so they themselves probably don't care ;)

I would love for them to have The Lost Vikings on GOG, they were fantastic games to play when I was smaller.

Isn't that a Blizzard game?

I think it was initially published by Interplay, just like Blackthorne, so they might still have the rights to it.
