GOG.com and Interplay Level up!

GOG.com has been in talks with our good friends at Interplay, and we’re pleased to be able to say that we have good news! Not only are we adding four classic games from their catalog to GOG.com in the near future, but we’re also going to give you another chance to [url=http://www.gog.com/en/promo/interplay_price_change_promo_09_11_12]save big on the games we already have for the next week!

Every silver lining has a cloud, though, and the reason that we’re putting the games on sale again is because we’re raising the prices on some of the Interplay games on the 16th of November as part of our new deal with Interplay. As such, games such as Fallout, MDK, Redneck Rampage and others may never be as cheap on GOG.com as they will be this next week. kalirion: I know everybody says Sacrifice is great, but how is it for somebody who doesn't generally care for RTS games? I think the last RTS I enjoyed was Warcraft 2.

Licurg: Sacrifice isn't like other RTS games. It's basically like an action game, but one where your character (wizard) can build building, summon units and collect souls. Don't compare it to "regular" strategy games, because it has nothing to do with them.
So it's more like Battlezone (of which I've only played the demo) then?

Dunno, I've never played Battlezone (tho I intend to), but I can assure you the gameplay is one of the most innovative in any game ever made. You control your character with the arrow keys and mouse, and you summon units which you can control like in regular RTS games, you click on them, then left-click to order them to move/attack (or you could just let them follow you around, and they'll attack automatically any enemy that comes near, while you focus on casting spells and keeping you wizard alive).

Thanks GOG for another promotion!!

Just wanna ask is there anywhere game play video of Invictus? I'm curious about this game, but it seems that nobody played it. Does it suck so much? I read somewhere that it uses Infinity engine.

Ok, guess I'll give Sacrifice a try. Hope this "Crysis of 2000" as one reviewer put it doesn't have trouble on my laptop (1.3GHz, Intel 4500mhd).

Woah, I was a bit unhappy with the Pay what you want-offer, because it wouldn't let me create my individual bundle, but now there's no holding back!

It's one of the best games ever made, and you can buy it for 3$, and you still need convincing ? :/

My desktop (Core 2 Duo E8400, GTS250) has been out of working order for over 2 years now. I actually got the parts to fix it through manufacturer's warranty within 2 months of it breaking, but been procrastinating by going through my retro&indie gaming backlog on the laptop. Unfortunately even that portion of the backlog is growing at an unmanageable rate....

Well, Sacrifice should work fine on your Laptop, so I don't think you're gonna have any problems :)

Actually I'm kinda just messing with you, I got the game on the PWYW promo, it's just a matter of if and when I'll get around to trying it.
