GOG.com and Interplay Level up!

GOG.com has been in talks with our good friends at Interplay, and we’re pleased to be able to say that we have good news! Not only are we adding four classic games from their catalog to GOG.com in the near future, but we’re also going to give you another chance to [url=http://www.gog.com/en/promo/interplay_price_change_promo_09_11_12]save big on the games we already have for the next week!

Every silver lining has a cloud, though, and the reason that we’re putting the games on sale again is because we’re raising the prices on some of the Interplay games on the 16th of November as part of our new deal with Interplay. As such, games such as Fallout, MDK, Redneck Rampage and others may never be as cheap on GOG.com as they will be this next week. If you’ve been hesitating to pull the trigger on any classic Interplay games, now’s your last chance to buy and save big!

What are the new games that we’re adding to the Interplay collection? Well, if you know GOG.com, you know what we don’t like to give away that kind of news early, but if you’re paying attention on our website--or on any of our social media channels like , [url=http://www.facebook.com/gogcom]Facebook, , [url=http://www.youtube.com/gogcom]Google+ or even just your email inbox, you’ll be sure to find out.

So pick up our last huzzay of Interplay games at $2.99 this week, and let us know in the comments below what classic Interplay games you’re hoping will show up on GOG.com early next year--or perhaps even sooner!
More titles from Interplay? Freakin' awesome

I wonder what 4 of these titles could be...

Well one of them for sure is the MDK2 HD update but I wonder about the rest of the 3...

Let's stay tuned and find out, shall we?

Agh. another great deal for me to look at and think "no, no I really shouldn't pick up more games". I really wanted stuff in the EA deal last week and purposely avoided GOG all weekend.
Hurray!
I skipped the 32 game promo. Yay for me :)

In additional news. WOW at the TellTale promo. Instabuy :)
So, could one of the games you'll be adding be Hostile Waters: Antaeus Rising? Let's hope so.

More details please. Which games and which prices? What about the Fallout series, is there a solution found with Bethesda or will they be removed from the catalog?

Well, Interplay's rights to sell the "Classic" fallout games end in less than 2 months, so naturally they are trying to sell as much copies of it while they still can

now would be a good time to grab a good deal on it if you don't have the game yet...

Interplay will lose the rights to sell Fallout games on 31 December 2013, so there is still one year left. But you are right in saying that they want to milk the cow. But considering that having a 5.99 price point made it even more popular with gamers, increasing to 9.99 is a stupid decision on Interplay's part.

So is there a real reason why this promo didn't coincide with the 32 game promo from a couple of weeks ago?
Lol, I feel like the Interplay PWYW promo ended just yesterday and now we're getting a chance for a worse deal. That's just weird. Still, probably nice for all people who wanted a Tier 2 or 3 game but couldn't afford it.

But I'm excited to hear about future additions from Interplay. Guess the people who spread the idea that Interplay is not gonna be around for long anymore were wrong. However, it does suck that prices will actually go up. It's just crazy that the value of digitally distributed products can go up.

You sure? wasn't it January 1st of 2013 from what I remember?

Some people in the "PWYW" Promo complained that they only wanted specific games from the top reward tier

So, Interplay, I'm guessing, being the good guy it is, now gives us an "Encore" promo allowing those people to get what they want without paying extra for anything else
