Joeqbr: The Cat Lady. Worth picking up?
Definitely! It's a mature game but this time "mature" doesn't mean gore and nudity only. There are some of those too but it's the deep psychological problems that make this game "for adults only". It also has a very unique main character - I don't remember any other game where you play as a middle aged woman with a depression.

Joeqbr: Nice promo, instantly picked up Dyad, SOTS: The Pit, Driftmoon, Penumbra Collection and The Blackwell Bundle (and System Shock 2).

I'm curious about Zafehouse Diaries, Lucius, Slender: The Arrival, The Cat Lady and Signal Ops, how are they? Worth picking up?
Cat Lady is awesome if you want to play adventure game with a bit of darker theme - the story is great, music lovely, graphics and animation could be better, but they are good anyway. Well, it's a game with a meaning and important stuff in it. It deals with issues not other games want to tackle. Definitely worth picking! Zafehouse Diaries I will pick up soon myself and Lucius probably as well. Signal Ops is ambitious but got quite a few mixed reviews (including in local PCPowerPlay).
Please help me choose one from the following:

-Anodyne
-Driftmoon
-Dyad
-Miasmata
I have 7 of the games already.

I really only want SotS: The Pit. If I buy others I will be paying more than the one game sells for.

nmorello11: Would you recommend it over Miasmata?

Kunovski: I've bought Miasmata because I like exploration games and games in general where there are various places to discover etc.

so I've installed and played it for about an hour or so but wasn't really impressed - mostly because the game pushes you forward all the time (which I always consider a turn off): to cure your ever progressing illness, to find various items to be able to survive during the night which approaches rather quickly... I like my exploration relaxed and in my own pace, which this game doesn't offer. also, I didn't really know what to do - like in real life I've climbed the highest peak in the vicinity to look around, but found nothing, didn't see any close points of interest, so I've returned back to the valley... also, the walking speed is SO SLOW this little trip took me like 20 minutes... I don't know, I'll definitely give it a try again some other time, but my first look at it didn't go very well

Driftmoon, on the other hand, is really nice adventure - it has some rpg elements, quite a lot of fights, but if you play it as an adventure game, talk to NPCs, complete their quests and enjoy the fairy-tale setting, you'll enjoy it... it's even funny and witty often :) a little game to spend a couple of evenings with and feel nice about the time spent in it

EDIT: oh, the typos...
Ah. I think the fast-approaching nightfall and the slow-walking would really get to me too. Honestly, I'm kinda wondering if I should wait for a Halloween sale since the only game I really want is The Cat Lady. Anyone remember if GOG had one of those last year?

They did.
Edit: The 2011 one was more inline with Halloween though.

Any thoughts on whether or not Evoland is worth getting?

Hmm, a dilemma. In that case I suggest you buy only SotS: The Pit. No reason to buy games you don't want, especially if they end up costing more that way.
Well, I know I'll regret spending another $12 a year from now when a few of these are still sitting in my endless backlogged library unplayed. But then again these do seem like something I would play EVENTUALLY.

Penumbra
The Cat Lady
Driftmoon
Blackwell bundle
Primordia

they say it's very short and not as great as it should, but for 2 dollars? even if I spent just one evening playing it and having fun with it, it's still worth it :) the original premise looks interesting to me so I gave it a try and bought today...

I guess since there's no real rush for me, would you mind giving me your thoughts on it when you finish/get further into the game? :)
Good opening to your birthday celebration, looking forward to seeing how you build upon it. I already have almost every game from this particular deal that I would buy, but I think I might get one or two and grab some others from folks' wishlists. Thanks!

sure, why not? but maybe you could have a look at some of the gamer's reviews here, as my plan to play this might come alive in weeks, maybe months :D
Already have the few ones of this list which are interesting to me
