I'm really surprised at GOG.

Lots of comments in this thread about not being able to gift duplicate games and quite a few entries from 'blues' recommending games etc, but not one comment about not being able to 'gift'.
Well, I heard back from support. Redeeming all the games in an order (including ones you own) is a glitch that they are working on and I received a gift code for the one I already had. So give it a little time and stuff should be good.

Edited for clarity.

Ah, good. So I can ask them for that two-game code I unsuccessfully tried to get, then?
Glad to hear they are fixing the gifting option.

In the meantime, I've a glitch of my own to report. I purchases Strike Suit Zero as part of the 5 yesterday, and noticed the DLC was half-off at the time when I was checking out the game card. So I went in this morning to pick up the DLC, and it's suddenly full price. What the heck happened?

They were discounted for one week only and the promo has just expired few hours ago...

Oh for fooks sake, so it expired right when the parent game is on special? That's fecking lovely. Guess I can do without the DLC now, and thanks for the heads-up GOG when I was buying the main title. Would have been nice to know then.

Yes, you can. I received my extra gift code for The Cat Lady as well after I wrote to support yesterday night. They said they found the glitch because of my mail, so I wonder if a lot of people complain on the forum, but don't write to support about problems. There was a discussion about the glitch in this thread for hours when I wrote my mail.
Wow, that was fast - my gift code arrived, so now I can make one more person a little happier. :)

Perhaps it was just a bait to make you buy the base game... ;p

Good news about it being a glitch.

I've been mulling over which games to get and cant decide between

Penumbra or Amnesia

Any thoughts from anyone please ?

Ghorpm: You know what, I've changed my mind. I've checked my backloggery page and realized that yesterday (before buying SS2) my progress index for 2013 was 0. I bought 80 new games and finished 80 games. It's a good reason to celebrate, isn't it? With GOG's birthday to boot I should really get something from this promo. Now, let me see... I always wanted to try Omerta so with that price it's a deal. Sword of the Stars: The Pit and Waking Mars seems to be solid enough but I have some problems with the last two games. Could you guys help me? Which games would you recommend from:
- Tiny and Big: Grandpa's Leftovers
- Evoland
- Anodyne
- Shattered Haven
I was thinking about Evoland and Shattered Haven but I'm not sure. Other games I don't have are: Strike Suit Zero, Lucius, Dyad, Slender: The Arrival, Signal Ops but I think they are not my cup of tea.

Your opinions will be appreciated!
I can only tell you that, as an action RPG experience, Anodyne is much more immersive and overall superior to Evoland. So, do yourself a favor and pick Anodyne. I can't help you with the second choice.

Let's put it this way: what ever you decide, don't pick Lucius unless you're fully aware of what you're getting yourself into.
