Ophelium: Philanderer maybe, but I'm definitely not a philanthropist.
Nah what i mean is: This Community is kind of...friendly i have never seen such thing before. I just got a game gifted by someone some time ago. without asking. that is some serious stuff here.
avatar
Greywolf1: Funny though (and a kind of explanation, why this happened): On my GOG page, the page numbers are missing, so I was under the impression, we were still on page 1. But when I went to the same GOG page using your link, the page numbers were there and I noticed my mistake immediately.
If you view the discussion through the news post, a limited amount of posts is shown (as many as you have set, probably the same is true about first or last page). If you view the discussion through the forum, all posts should be visible, though you'll need to switch pages.
Very excited to see what the other promos, gifts, and contests are in the next 5 weeks.

Yeah, we're like that here.
Just a heads up.
If I read QC's post correctly, it seems that codes can be redeemed only once and can't be split between two people, no info on what happens to the games you already own and can't redeem (they get "lost"?).
For 5.00 i would definitely like to try out Omerta, it probably isnt as bad as it is made out to be. However im now looking to get 4 other games. The contenders are:
Walking Mars
Miasmata
The Cat Lady
Penumbra
Amnesia
Sword of the stars (have it already on steam though)

So which ones to drop?

Ophelium: Geez, there are only 4 that I would consider getting (none of which are on my wishlist, but who can resist such an offer?). Umm, I guess I'll figure out who wants just one game and make their day.
Is that offer still good? I'd like to get Driftmoon and can pay you back for it if you've got a paypal account.

Argh, I need this spelled out explicitly. Has anyone tried it yet? Namely bought five games, some of which they don't own and some of which they do? If so, can you download the ones you don't own AND gift the rest to one other person? Or is it all-or-none?

Definitely recommend The Cat Lady, Penumbra and Amnesia. I've got Waking Mars but haven't played it yet. But obviously it appeals to me, so perhaps make that the other choice. Though before that one I'd recommend Driftmoon, Primordia, or the Blackwell Bundle if you don't have those.

Yeah, I'll just give you Driftmoon if I can. Don't worry about paying me back.

I actually checked what happens if I redeem a code with a mix of owned/new games. On the games list sorted by purchase date, the new ones appeared at the top as they should... and the owned ones also got pushed to the top, even though their descriptions still show their original purchase dates. The code is marked as "redeemed", so yes, these get lost, apparently (haven't tried sending it to anyone, though).
Happy Birthday GOG!

Nice promo btw, already picked my 5.

Quick question, 16 digit code or 8 digit one?

Fudge ducks. Thanks for the answer, sorry it's not the one I was hoping for. Dang, there goes my attempt to pad my purchase, since I only want to two of the titles.

Same deal as YnK. Pushed my owned Driftmoon to the top. It was a 16 digit code. I sent it to NotJabba to see if it's lost or not.
If that is the case it needs flagging up, Seen a few trying to sort out deals for one game
