This giveaway made me curious as to our gifting history. Naturally, you hold the balance there pretty heavily, and I'm not a prolific gifter to begin with. What I found curious, though, is that I gifted you first, a copy of Broken Sword 2, by proxy of Ian. Hope you've enjoyed that, as I've enjoyed your gifts (bar a few technical hitches :\) I hope that covers the entry requirement.

As to the entry proper, there's plenty I'd like from Squeenix, but... I find it quite hard to say what I'd like most. When I'm able, I'll probably grab a bunch of Hitmen, Kains, the rest of the Thieves, and maybe an Omikron to top it all off. But for now, I can't be forced to make painful choices :P

Instead, I think I'd like to add a vote for akhliber. However, I will not condone gifting Deus Ex 2, not to such a nice person, anyway. So, if I win, please, offer him a pick of the other games. A nice alternative might be a Hitman, or a Thief, even an Omikron. Do the right thing!

Haha thanks! And I'm actually seriously considering your words of warning... is Deus Ex 2 really bad? I'm early in the first game and really enjoy it, so I figured I'd want to play the series... but I'm also afraid it will tarnish my opinion of the first game if it sucks... I think I'll change my game after all, as Anachronox is one I've wanted to check out. Thief and Hitman will come once I get more comfortable with stealth games, and I've got Omikron, but an odd looking RPG may be the ideal solution. I'm going to edit my original entry to show the correct game. :)

Good choice, I actually would have recommended it but must have overlooked it because it's greyed out in my list (I have it).

And yes, the danger with Deus Ex 2 is precisely tarnishing the first game. The first game is excellent enough on its own, with no need to follow up on a story. Plus, there's some excellent story mods for it. I've also heard the new game, Human Revolution (a prequel), is quite good, so that might be a good pick instead. I'm personally holding off for the announced Director's Cut.
