I see what you did thar. Much obliged.

Crassmaster: 2. If you have to explain a joke, it isn't funny. In the 2nd ad, where the game seller rips the guy's shirt sleeve off and then has to explain "Sorry for the rip off."...ugh redux.
That was a visual pun.

TheCycoONE: How can I play Portal, it's not DRM free and distributed by reputable people like GOG. :D
Thank you! Yes, some of us are actually not just "blowhards" about avoiding DRM, but actually do successfully avoid it. I own a grand total of one product that has DRM/activation of any sort*. I don't even *have* a Steam account, and chances are pretty good that I never will. So, yes, I've never played Portal, or any other Source-engine game.

* That one is Mount and Blade, which I bought in to when it was a tiny barely-started indie project. It was only later when it went that path.
I love the accents in these commercials. :D
I definitely heard the sound of monkeys or chimps mixed in with the final round of applause in the last vid!

Monkey Island maybe? Lucasarts?...
For "Reginal Ripoff" you needed to have a person with a Australian Flag T-Shirt saying "$60 and I have to wait 3 months!"
I didn't know GamersGate was that unpopular on the other side of the pond, you would think that Origin or Ubisoft would be better targets for this but then again those two are both GOG partners while GamePause (why not Game-Piss?) and DRM's knight in shining armor are both Competitors.

.... why not one about Amazon? I would think that their retarded ass downloader system (and yes it is worse than GOGs) would have made for some tasty parody.

Crassmaster: ...ugh redux.
That word made me remember a game called "Mad Mojo Redux" you play as a roach... i have a disc copy but never got it to work on any system... the only version i ever played was a demo at the old ComputerWizards store at the mall... i would love to see that "crawl" its way into GOG... infact i have a lot of old disk copys of games i cant get working...

TPR: Newer? Something like "Mass Effect 3", DRM-Free with RIGHTEOUS endings...? :>
Sort of, albeit I was thinking games that were... less controversial than Mass Effect 3 and less offensive than Michael Bay RUINING the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles of my youth. No examples here, but someone will get my drift.

Loving the videos and looking forward to seeing what GoG brings in just a few more hours!

tbennet2: The cake is not a lie... you just can't get to it. :P
First of all, that was a quotation.

Second of all, the phrase "The cake is a lie" is ambiguous and therefore cannot be definitively refuted. The cake itself may exist, but the promise of being rewarded with it may still be seen as a lie.

GOG will no longer be just for good ole games?

thelostdunmer: GOG will no longer be just for good ole games?
That's the plan. The GameSpot interview has some details about this.

GOG has had some comparatively recent games for a while now (such as King's Bounty and Two Worlds) so opening it up to the latest releases makes sense.
Don't like the ads, hopefully games will be better.
