I feel bad for the IT Department at GOG Central tomorrow. Wonder if the site will get overloaded like, oh... I can't remember when did it happened. When they gave away Empire Earth and the entire catalog to someone?
Judging from some of the comments, some people here seem to really over analyze these commercials.

Though seriously, after you finally re-published Anachronox, it's hard to act upset with you guys.

I agree. You even get some commenters who think they're clever by asking if all GOG games actually come with cake. Of course not - stop being so literal! The extras included vary from game to game, and the the majority certainly don't have cake - you get milk tart, apple strudel, crème brûlée and so on. The cake is excellent, but can you imagine how sick of cake you'd become if it came with every game? Think, people!

The Cows and Monkeys references makes me think of..."How appropriate, you fight like a cow."

Or am I over analising?

Typical red herring. I'm 99.9% sure those references don't mean anything.
Great commercials, guys! Love that GOG sense of humor.
All i know is, in 13 hours im going to have a heart attack :)

+1 O_o"
Okay, just saw the final commercial, and there's the "newer" of the tagline of this tease, "Bigger. Fresher. Newer."

So, here are my thoughts off the top of my head on what each of these three pieces of this tagline are (which I am guessing pertain to three separate announcements/reveals to come in a few short hours):

Bigger: LucasArts (which will be an assault on my wallet to be certain) and possibly even Blizzard (which I'd happily re-buy Warcraft 1 and 2 if they put those up there, and 2 had better have the expansion).
Fresher: A GOG.com site redesign/overhaul/update, with maybe a couple of browsing tweaks and maybe a new design that emphasizes some great new site feature or something.
Newer: GOG.com selling newer games. It's an obvious move that we knew about months ago, so there's that.

I think I nailed it. Any questions?

Newer? Something like "Mass Effect 3", DRM-Free with RIGHTEOUS endings...? :>

bazilisek: Well, you know how it is with fanboys. Some people would go "OMG SO FUNNY AND SO SO TRUE" even if the whole thing was just T in a hat saying "You know, I think DRM's kind of shitty".

Frankly, it's cringeworthy, and not really of the good kind, and the constant jabs at competition sound a lot like a fly buzzing around a cow feeling very smug. So, yeah.
Who do you support i wonder?

If GOG would teamed up people like you they would never become what they become today. GOG is making a new step for another revolution.

If you don't believe or support, just shut up and run to your "great giant" digital distribution platform.

People like you, -only talking for the trendy and powerful of the that era- is sickening me.

Sorry, what?

I gotta admit. No matter how i love this site, it's purpose and ethics i really despise most of the new adds.

It's simple. Just my opinion. For me they have some funny/smart elements, but overall i can't watch those 3 times and still laugh. Really sorry and excuse me for being a smartass. But just accept the fact that there are people that love the site and don't like those commercials. It's nothing strange...

Paingiver: Who do you support i wonder?
That's very much the point. I don't support anyone. I buy games from whoever can offer them to me for the best price and with the best service available. That's all there is to it. GOG is running a business, not a fanclub.

Fuck your revolutions. I don't care for politics, I don't care for ideals. I care for the games only. And I sincerely wish everyone started looking at things that way, so that we could cut all the crap associated with all you laughable lofty idealists and wannabe Che Guevaras of digital distribution.

And by the way, I'm a very good customer of GOG. I'm just not a kindly grandmother who would applaud them for every stupid little thing they do only because they're family and I like them. Because that's not a healthy kind of relationship to have with people that actually are in your family, not to mention complete strangers on the internet.

Good night.
Not sure if it's already confirmed somewhere but the 'Gene Grimstone' in the Comes with cake video... Grimstone as in Grimrock :) I think I've found my place of purchase.
