xyem: Anyone else getting "This video is private" on "The Complimentary Cake" video?
avatar
TheEnigmaticT: Should be public now? I'm not sure why you were getting the "private" message. ?.?
Yeah it works now :D

You guys owe me a lot of cake..
GOG.com, where the cake is the real deal. ;D

Arteveld: GOG.com, where the cake is the real deal. ;D
I suggest you read the fine print under that video :P
Should've gotten a wallpaper roll.
I don't quite know what to say after watching these commercials, except.... No matter what's happening on tuesday GOG.... SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!!! NOW!!!!

I am just so glad that I was lucky enough to be born in this age of gog.com, I do realize that I probably sound pretty fanboyish now, but I don't bother hiding it. I'm a 27 year old man that had found my true love, gog.com and I'm staying faithful for the rest of my life.

DCT: I am hoping for the same thing, I do hope though that if Wasteland 2 get's released on GOG they either toss in the original Wasteland or have Wasteland 1 released as separate bundle with the original PC versions of Bards Tale 1-3
avatar
de_Monteynard: I'm with you on the original Bard's Tale, but GOG will have to pull some muscle to get EA to consent to releasing Wasteland 1. My hopes are high due to the success of Wasteland 2 (why not try and milk the franchise) and the fact that Syndicate was released, although at the beginning there was uncertainty about it.

Does anyone else hope that FTL will also make its appearance here?
If memory serves EA no longer owns Bards Tale or Wasteland Brian Fargo and his studio does, actually if memory serves EA handed the rights to Wasteland to Konami sometime back who in turn sold it to Brian.

Now it's possible that EA owns the content of the original games(i.e. still has the rights to the engine/code and audio and visuals) themselves, similar to how EA owns System Shock 2 but Edios owns the engine it runs on, in that case it could be tricky as both Brian and EA have to play nice.

Also I would like to ask "Where the hell is my damn Cake?"

Brian owns the IP (which is why he can make a second game), but the rights to the first game is in EA-land, which is why they cannot bundle the first game with the second.

I kinda figured which is why I said "Now it's possible that EA owns the content of the original games(i.e. still has the rights to the engine/code and audio and visuals) themselves, similar to how EA owns System Shock 2 but Edios owns the engine it runs on, in that case it could be tricky as both Brian and EA have to play nice. Now I want cake and a physical manual for every game I bought!

The cake is a lie? Noes!

So it was a lie, after all. Damn.

Yeah, I was trying to put a little more certainty to that statement.

Also, why is one of the "making of" images broken?

TheEnigmaticT: ...
What can you tell me about that making-of image? Is it something akin to mirrors that break because they don't want to show your visage?

Maybe he's not wearing any pants?
So World in Conflict is coming to GOG?
