Hi. What do you guys think about Spec Ops the Line (http://store.steampowered.com/app/50300/)
I played the pirate version (yeah...I know...) and some multiplayer at a friend and I don't know what to say about it. I might actually end up buying it especially now when it is on sale.
Please tell me what you think about it (Multi and single).

Get it for the single player, play it twice (to see the other path), then promote the game to those who don't know it yet.

I might do that. You played the game right? What do you think about the multiplayer component?

It has an excellent story that is told fantastically well.

But if you're anything like me, you'll be annoyed at some of the preaching, and certain moments won't have as great an impact as they have had on others.

Well worth £5 of anyones money.

I don't do multiplayer, but as I recall the devs themselves complained that they were "forced" to add it to the game, because every fps must have multiplayer or something.
I don't think the multiplayer component of it would be that memorable, but as I haven't played it, feel free to ignore me.

Oh ok from the small time i played multiplayer I did not created an opinion about it . Hmm I will wait for more people to tell me what they think about it.
It has a great great great story. Just finished. Grab it immediately!
ehh...for all the innovation and apparently excellent storytelling, which I'm sure it deserves all the plaudits it gets, especially timely at the time of its release in the middle of a glut of typical military shooters; it's an absolutely dull as dishwater third person shooter.

But in order to be what it is most effectively, it kind of has to be that to make it an effective satire.

I'm not convinced, personally, but it's at least encouraging.
It's well above the average shooters this day. But that's not saying a lot.

I like the game, quite a bit, but it's not the second coming of Christ as some people present it. Actually I think the hype hurt it more than it helped, in my case.
Oh, hey! It's $8 on Steam right now!
Guess I'll finally get it.

It is on my ps3 wishlist. I tried the demo on ps3 and liked it, then I *grabbed* the pc version and thought it was no good - it was obviously designed for consoles - mouse+kboard controls didn't feel right and the zoom in effect made my head go dizzy.

I read a piece on the multiplayer. The multiplayer part was actually developed by a whole different company and then tacked on. They described it as Call of Duty Lite. So with your purchase, you get a free Call of Duty Lite with it. I don't think it's a bad thing. It's just nothing to write home about.

It was $2.50 a few days ago on Amazon if you had one of those coupons.

EDIT: It still is ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0085NTITS/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=legeofleef-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B0085NTITS )

That's exactly what I would say!

Multiplayer was actually described by the developers as a "tumor" tacked on the game. This game is all about the single player campaign and I was pleasantly surprised, especially by many details that added to a great whole! It's one of two games I've played twice in it's entirety in several years (the other one being Human Revolution).
