Have you backed any? Or at least keeping track of any? Lets discuss what has us all worked up!

For me, its two big ones.

Project Eternity, looks indescribably beautiful! I'm so excited for this, I haven't even looked for a estimated release date, otherwise my life would be infinitely more difficult until that day as come.

PS 2 Tides of Numenara, just oh god. I'm excited, on one hand, because the potential for storytelling of epic proportions is there in spades. However, on the other hand, I am nearly sick with terror at the thought of it being terrible or even not nearly as good as the first and completely ruining my childhood.

Anyone else feel that way? Anything else exciting coming up? (Minus Shadowrun Returns and Wasteland 2, which are both due out this year. Returns out on the 25! :) )
I am personally against preorders, having preordered just once in my life. Kickstarter is even worse than a preorder, so I don't bother with it. Having said that, I'm definitely interested in both Carmageddon Reincarnation and 90's Arcade Racer, both racing games that are about to be released by the end of 2013.
There's a general thread about crowdfunding campaigns here!, where all the interesting ones are posted in categories! We can just let this thread die if it isn't needed, though ;)

I also funded Torment, then Divinity: Original Sin and Planet Explorers!

Torment because I it looked good and heard about the legendary original (which I'll play this summer, hopefully). Divinity because I have the other games (though haven't played them yet xD) but the game also looked great! And Planet Explorers cuz I needed something Mass Effect-ish after the series ended :D

P.S: Don't forget to redeem Torchlight :P

Yes, I have backed 3 projects on Kickstarter so far.

I just cannot drop my money on the random projects on Kickstarter because it's a huge gambling, in case that the creators may not deliver through with the projects. This has happen frequently from what I notice so I'm trying to be very careful with which projects that I will back.

I have backed Arena Mode by Blake Northcott on Kickstarter. I have read Ms. Northcott's previous books and I have a strong faith in that she would deliver the project on time, which she did. I received the ebook in the time frame that she said that she would deliver. However, I'm still waiting for the other loots to come but it's still within the time frame so I'm not complaining.

I backed the Torment on Kickstarter because I believe that they will deliver, given Fargo's previous experiences and I genuinely like Planescape Torment.

I also backed Veronica Mars on KS, even if it was just a dollar. I'm huge fan of Veronica Mars but none of the swags interest me so I just chip in a dollar to help out.

As you can see, I'm extremely careful with how I backed the projects on KS.

Still, I'm sure that I miss out on quite few spectacular projects. But that's what other thread is for. :)

BigCox: PS 2 Tides of Numenara
Nitpick: Torment: Tides of Numenera is not Planescape 2, just like Dragon Age: Origins isn't Baldur's Gate 3.

They're spiritual sequels, similar in theme and tone to what inspired them, but are completely separate works.

Torment - waiting, nothing makes me doubt those guys.
Knock-knock - delayed, but I believe I'll get the game soon.
A Vampyre story - failed. Will back again if Bill puts it on KS again.
Backed Stonehearth, Massive Chalice and Satellite Reign
So far I backed only this.
I've backed these:

Project Eternity
Torment
Dreamfall Chapters

It would be pretty silly backing anyone except these guys. No doubt in my mind that these guys won't muck it up.

Now everyone else, that's a different story.
I backed Torment, and Defense Grid 2. Hidden Path ran a great campaign.

I like doing the KS thing, and would do it more if it were realistic. It is a gamble in every sense, but that is the nature of funding anything. One shouldn't fund something assuming it will get made and be awesome. Making peace with the idea that failure is a very realistic outcome is important.
Tides of Numerera Torment
Project Eternity
Wasteland 2
Stonehearth
The Banner Saga
Grim Dawn
Xenonauts
Valdis Story
Jagged Alliance Flashback
Satellite Reign
Frozen State
Ghost Control Inc.

And yes i am a Kickstarter believer. Only one i wanted which i missed out on was Divinity Original Sin :(
I've backed a few, but I think LSL is the only one that's been completed. Although Serpent's Tongue has been RTM, so it should be coming soon.

But, to be fair, most of the things I've backed got so much funding that there were a ton of stretch goals added.
Backed Project Eternity because, well, Obsidian.
Backed Torment because, well, Torment.
Backed Divinity:Original Sin because I played Divine Divinity and Divinity 2 and really enjoyed them both.
Backed Legends of Dawn because it looked like it might be cool and I figured I'd toss a few bucks at it. It's been released but I've not yet gotten around to playing it.
Finally, I backed Sui Generis since it looked like it might also be cool and I figured what the hell.
