Hey I noticed something I never noticed before just before buying an item on gog. There was a sound. A repeating ping sound, like a bell or something. I cancelled and went to my account page and there it is too. What is this??

As i can tell there is no real fix atm? If it is a security issue then I am not buying anything until this is fixed...

I've passed this on to our web folks so we should be seeing something done about this soon. Not sure when but it's being looked at :)

Any idea if it's a security issue? Because with the timing of that heartbleed thing....
The certificate that is currently in use says it was issued on 20.06.2013. So if the new certificate wasn't backdated the server is still using the old certificate.

The new certificate was backdated, though servant-1.gog.com is using the old one. Rest of GOG's servers are using the new one.

I believe you if you say so. However, backdating certificates is definitely not common practice. If the certificate is newly issued it should say so. That would make me wary of DigiCert.

@JMich: How do you know? Is there any way to change or check on which server you are on?

Discussion in this thread. The servant-1.gog.com is a script server as I recall, mostly for site functionality.
