First off, the title was not trying to be offensive to any GOGlodytes out there. :P

Basically, anytime you might hear something mentioned in connection with FOX News you might as well shut off your brain, since obviously not a single person working there has one. Hell, I've yet to meet a person who actually seriously watches their shit. Guess I'm not right-wing/redneck enough. ;)

How is that News station still functioning? Anything like that over here would be shut down long ago.

I think there was some lawsuit about them lying, and the court gave them the legal right to lie as much as they want. Something about being an entertainment company and not a news company or something. Can't remember any better and too tired to look it up.

It is better than MSNBC. However, that isn't saying much. I will say that I do like Neil Cavuto and Shepard Smith on Fox News; every other anchor... meh.

Due to tax laws or whatever, several European servers for different games are in Ireland. Therefore here, whenever the news or the government talk about gaming, it usually revolves around saying money! economy! jobs! as much as possible. Most news stories around gaming here typically revolves around how much it makes every year and it's yet another business sector that's going to "save" Ireland. Still it makes the non-gamers think more positive of us :P

OMG, EVIL NUDITY AND SEX IN MASS EFFECT. MASS EFFECT IS AGAINST WOMEN BECAUSE THE FEMALES IN THE GAME ARE ATTRACTIVE!!! WHAT WILL THIS EVIL GAME DO TO KIDS? OMG!!! And all this while our world is turning into a piece of shit. There could be a fucking XCOM alien invasion or an invasion from hell Doom style and I bet we will still get the same old shit from American news. Haven't played the game itself and didn't watch the whole clip either because I sort of knew what to expect. It seems that the older generation still associates video gaming exclusively with kids. It's true that the average age of the gamer is lower than the average age of the TV viewer but it has definitely risen since the early days of gaming, and in any case games now come with an age rating.

It's funny (strange not ha ha) that watching TV is still considered as essentially a more "adult" pastime than gaming when it is hardly a more intelligent on average in terms of content and certainly contains more sex, though not perhaps more "violence". Even though at 45 I'm getting pretty old myself I do not agree with this antiquated view of games and gaming, though I don't have any kids to "police" so I suppose that's easy for me to say. Sex in video games is usually pretty hilarious anyway :)
