According to eurogamer, something big give-away wise is coming on GOG tomorrow. Since The enhanced edition of the witcher 2 isnt out for like, a week or so... I wonder what it could be?

HA HA!
If it's any of the Infinity Engine adventures that I already own on GOG, I'm going to weep uncontrollably until blood comes out of my nose.

Don't worry, my sources are telling me it's Skyrim.
Considering the post specifically said it was CDP giving it away and not just gog (yes they are the same company, but for individual services they stand on their own) I still don't think it can be anything else but Witcher 1.. although I don't see where the, inverted commas, legendary comes in.

You laugh, but I have a gut feeling that it may actually be Arena and/or Daggerfall in preparation for a Morrowind GOTY release.

Edit: "No new game." Never mind.

That wouldn't make sense, since both games were already released for free by Bethesda

But not in a native Windows runnable form. It would actually be nice if they were made available for free at GOG.

Most freebies on GOG in the past have been games that have been released as freeware by their respective publishers before. Lure of the Temptress, Beneath A Steel Sky, Ultima 4...

I hope for their sake it's something better than that. I'm guessing that if it's TW and anything less than a new addition with DLC and such that there's going to be hell to pay.

There's still hurt feelings from last Christmas when GOG decided to not give anything to their most loyal buyers, I can only imagine that wrath that CDPR would face if they pulled something similar.

It's not really generous to give something out to most people and make the rest just watch.

GOG doesn't owe anyone here anything....we're customers, not family ffs. Plus they gave us an amazing discount on most of the games here, among other things. If that's enough for some people, well......

No, but most retailers I know of don't typically discourage people from buying large quantities of their products in case one is later given away free or at a deep discount.

I said it at the time and it bears repeating, it was a bloody stupid business decision to punish people for already owning the game. Not to mention failing to provide anything at all to those of us that owned it already thus excluding us from that area of the festivities. Most of us would have been fine having it available to gift later on or being given something non-monetary as a "we're thinking of you gift.|

Mind you it's more likely to happen to those of us that have large portions of the catalog than just a few games.

They weren't punishing anyone. You got a free game if you didn't have it already and discounts on other games were had by everyone else. IMO that was pretty nice of them. For others to complain(possibly) that they didn't get more/enough seems petty to me. :\

Also people get excluded from events all the time...just look at age restricted contests, etc.
