Oh Cracked. I still read it in bed every morning.

Yes, sometimes they'll post a real eye-opener. Nothing that changes the world, but definitely strikes a cord.
Cracked has long stopped making me laugh, but the articles are still interesting and even somewhat informative.

"Strikes a chord", a musical chord.

For future reference. :)

Yeah, my bad. Sometimes what you think and what you type is not synched.
but in both cases you are nothing more than the sum total of your useful skills.
I certainly hated this slow realization as you grow up. The sweet irony between when you're a child and lack the control and power to be responsible for your life but as you grow up your realize it can get complicated (negatively) too quick to realize it.

This is why I think many people who are content with their lives usually doesn't have to deal with conflicts in their job and social interaction, they can just do what they need to do and live their lives. And yes there are exceptions.

And that's why this article made me feel bad. I'm 22 years old and only now do I realize that I don't really have a lot of skills I can make money from and be happy. I've spent most of my life fulfilling goals of education and system and lost my true self in the process. Somehow I feel it's late now to start rebuilding. Fortunately, I will still get my university diploma this year, but I realize now that I have to look for happiness in my private life, not in work.
Americans...
Huh, I've not seen that article before. Pretty much spot-on, I think. Maybe I'll have to work on gaining a skill this year...
Just read / skimmed through it.

100% true.

I already figured out all of this by myself some time ago.

But changing is hard, and I don't feel like doing it. (yup, #1 truth).

Utter bullshit. One advice I have for all of you: never take advice from Cracked. They appear superficially correct, yet are deeply superficial.

F4LL0UT: Americans...
I didn't want to put it this way myself, but... Please elaborate, I'm curious whether your intuitions are similar to mine :3.

So what part is incorrect? It all boils down to "get off your ass and do something other than complaining instead of expecting for the world to hand you things on the silver platter because of who you are on the inside."

Well, what did you find to be "bullshit"? Give examples, references. We're not telepaths you know!
